Small job, big hours 🛠️
Finished up in the bedroom this week — and it's a good reminder that the "small" projects are often the ones that eat up the most time.
✅ Deep-cleaning and masking old plaster residue embedded in the wood
✅ Painting the wardrobe, walls, and ceilings
✅ Laying tile in the bathroom
✅ Fitting trim strips onto the existing MDF shelving fronts to unify the sizing — such a small detail, but it made a massive difference
✅ Cleaning up window sills, shelves, and skirting boards
✅ Final coat of paint to bring it all together
Every one of these looked like a quick fix on paper. In reality, the prep work — cleaning, masking, matching finishes — took far longer than the visible "after." That's the part people rarely see, but it's what makes the final result look seamless.

Custom built-in with a plywood carcass and MDF fronts featuring milled finger pulls — no hardware needed. Finished in white with Tikkurila Intact 8 for a smooth, durable look.
Fitted with Blum Movento drawer runners rated up to 70kg for smooth, heavy-duty operation.
On the side wall: a framed panel, soon to hold coat hooks. Next up: a shoe cabinet with a built-in seat to complete the space.

Stair Railing & Door Painting — Raw Wood to Flawless Finish

We gave new life to a cracked sliding wardrobe mirror that originally had no proper support – poor workmanship from the start. The damaged mirror was carefully cut into pieces and mounted onto a board to create brand new doors. The final effect looks great! It has been primed twice, and now the only thing left is to decide on the final color 🤓
