🇨🇿 ABBCO IS GOING INTERNATIONAL?! 👀🌍

We’ve come to Prague for a family holiday, but apparently, you can take the man away from the business, but you can’t take the business out of the man! 😂

Spotted this little beauty in almost perfect ABBCO colours, and naturally, I couldn’t resist a quick rebrand.

Even managed to get the private plate sorted… A88 CCO 🇨🇿

So, what do we reckon? ABBCO – Pond & Lake Specialists, Czech Republic division? 🐟

Just need to figure out how to fit a holding tank, a couple of pumps and a mini digger in the back! 🤣

Don’t worry, Norfolk. We’re not abandoning you just yet!

A proper reset for this pond in Fakenham 🌿💧

This pond had become heavily overgrown with lilies and was well overdue a full clean.

We carried out a complete pond clean, including:
✅ Stripping back the excessive lily growth
✅ Cleaning the pond liner
✅ Fully cleaning the pump and filtration system
✅ Removing built-up waste and debris
✅ Refilling the pond once everything was cleaned and brought back under control

The aim wasn’t to remove everything and make it look sterile — it was to give the pond a proper reset, improve the condition of the water and make it much easier for the client to manage going forward.

The client was exceptionally happy with the finished result, which is always the best part.

🚜 New addition to the ABBCO fleet!

We’ve invested in a robotic flail mower to help us work more efficiently, tackle overgrown and hard to access areas faster, and improve turnaround times while we’re busy.

It’s already got its first job booked in for next week 👀

And yes, it’s been nicknamed WALL—E 😂

From completely choked with lilies ➡️ back under control 🌿

This large pond in Dereham had gradually become overwhelmed with water lilies and vegetation to the point where the open water had almost disappeared.

The owners had done their best to keep on top of it themselves over the years, but eventually called us in for a full pond clearance.

Over two days, we:
✅ Removed the excessive lily growth
✅ Thinned and cleared the aquatic vegetation
✅ Opened the pond back up
✅ Tidied the margins and brought the whole pond back under control

The difference is huge — but just as importantly, we’ve managed to retain the mature, natural feel of the pond rather than stripping everything out.

The client was so pleased with the result that they immediately left us a 5-star review and have now signed up for annual maintenance to stop it reaching this stage again.

Their words:
“We wholeheartedly recommend ABBCO/Morgan - he knows what he is doing and just gets on with the job!”

If your pond has slowly become overgrown, full of lilies, w**d or silt, it doesn’t necessarily need rebuilding. Sometimes a proper clearance and maintenance plan is all it needs.

Before ➡️ After

A full transformation on this one 👌

The existing pond had reached the end of its life, so we completely rebuilt the area with a brand-new pond and patio, creating a much cleaner, more usable space for the client to enjoy — and, most importantly, somewhere they can actually see and enjoy their fish again!

This was a big job, completed through some seriously intense heat, but we’re really pleased with how it all came together.

A big shoutout to NRS Landscape Centre Ltd for supplying the slabs for the new patio too 🙌

⭐️ Client review:

“Fantastic service from start to finish of our new pond and patio. Morgan was very easy to work with and listened to our ideas of what we wanted, and gave us great advice on how to achieve the best results possible.

Our old pond had come to the end of its life and so it was quite a big job, but Morgan worked extremely hard through the intense heat, to complete the job on time.

We are extremely pleased with our new pond and patio, it looks even better than we had hoped for and it is so good to be able to see the fish again! We would highly recommend ABBCO - thank you Morgan :)”

Thanks so much for the brilliant review — it was a pleasure transforming this one.

If your pond has seen better days and you’re considering a rebuild or complete transformation, get in touch.

We had a brilliant time at West Wickham & District Gardening Club, showcasing what we do at ABBCO – Pond & Lake Specialists. 🌿💧

It was lovely to meet everyone and chat with so many people who already have a pond, are thinking about creating one, or know someone whose pond could use a little attention!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and showed an interest in our pond design, construction, restoration and maintenance services — we really enjoyed talking all things ponds and wildlife with you.

This stunning swim pond in Norfolk has come a long way over the past year.

When we first visited, it was struggling with heavy blanket w**d, poor circulation and ongoing performance issues. Instead of recommending expensive rebuilds, we created a practical maintenance plan to improve the pond over time.

Fast forward to today...
💧 Blanket w**d under control
🌱 Thriving aquatic planting
🏊 Clear, inviting swimming water

The best part? Here's what our client had to say:
"The pond has improved immensely and we now have our lives back! The blanket w**d has been beaten into grumbling submission... After at least three expensive cowboys, we have finally found someone who actually does a great job."

Reviews like this make everything worthwhile.

If your swim pond isn't performing the way it should, we'd love to help bring it back to life with a maintenance plan tailored to your pond.

💧 From one home to another – without leaving the fish behind! 🐟

This was a really special project for us.

Our clients were relocating to Yorkshire and wanted to take their much-loved pond fish with them. We safely collected the fish from their previous home and cared for them in our specialist holding facilities while they completed their move.

Once they were settled, we built their dream wildlife pond, complete with a beautiful natural waterfall designed to encourage wildlife and create a healthy environment for their fish.
When everything was ready, we reunited the fish with their new home.

From fish relocation and temporary boarding to designing and building the pond itself, we managed the entire project from start to finish.

Thinking about building a wildlife pond or moving your pond fish?

🌿 The difference one maintenance visit can make! 🌿

This beautiful pond in Beccles, Suffolk is looked after as part of one of our seasonal pond maintenance plans.

Over time, blanket w**d and surface growth can quickly take over, making even the most stunning ponds look neglected. After just one routine maintenance visit, the pond is transformed—clearer water, improved circulation and a feature the owners can enjoy again.

Every pond is different, so we offer maintenance plans to suit your needs. Whether you need seasonal visits or more regular care, we'll help keep your pond healthy and looking its best throughout the year.
