⚡ EV charger + copper thieves = NOT a match made in heaven! 😂

We’ve had a lot of calls and messages recently from customers worried about EV charging cables being targeted for their copper.

And before you ask… no, the thieves aren’t coming round because they’ve suddenly developed an interest in electric vehicles. They’re after the copper — and they’re definitely not asking nicely! 🥷✂️🔌

So, how can you make your EV charger a little less attractive to the neighbourhood cable cutters?

🔌 Go untethered – No permanently attached cable means there’s nothing sitting outside looking like a tempting takeaway for a copper thief.

🔒 Lock it away – A lockable metal enclosure around your charger adds another barrier between your cable and anyone with a pair of cutters and questionable morals.

💡 Add security lighting – Motion-activated floodlights are great for turning “sneaky midnight operation” into “surprise! I can see you!” 👀💡

🎥 Consider CCTV – Visible cameras and smart alerts can be another great deterrent. Because apparently being filmed stealing a cable is still frowned upon. 😂
