✨ A fresh staircase transformation completed ✨

We machined this solid oak handrail in-house from raw timber, shaping and finishing it to a smooth, warm grain that lifts the whole space. Paired with a toughened glass balustrade and brushed stainless fixings, it gives the room a brighter, more open feel while keeping that handcrafted, traditional character we’re known for.

Everything was made to measure, fitted neatly into the existing layout, and finished with care from top to bottom.

If you’re thinking about updating your staircase, adding glass balustrades, or commissioning something bespoke in your home, we’d be happy to help.

✨ Traditional Craft, Built to Last ✨

At Artisan Bespoke, we love working with oak — timeless, strong, and full of character.

For this project, we crafted 8x8” and 8x6” oak beams:
🔨 Machined, cut, morticed & tenon’d, and routered with care
🔩 Bolted together and plugged with oak dowels
🏛️ Combining traditional joinery with long-lasting structural integrity

The result? A piece that looks as good as it performs — celebrating true craftsmanship while standing the test of time.

If you’d like to bring this level of detail and tradition into your home or project, get in touch with us today.

🛠️ Built from Scratch, Fitted to Perfection

This staircase was crafted entirely from scratch using MDF and built in place – designed to suit the space exactly and finished to a high standard.

No flat-pack. Just precise joinery, done properly.

A great example of how bespoke doesn’t always mean hardwood – it means made to measure, made to last, and made with care.

Cut roof install, wrapped up this week.

When we arrived, it was just blockwork with no wall plates. A few days later, it was ready for tiles with a fully cut roof in place.

No prefab trusses here! Just solid, hand-cut timber work built to last.

Two wardrobes for a long-standing client.

One features an elegant curve—shaped to let natural light keep flowing into the room while making the most of an awkward space.
The other also fills a tricky corner, turning it into something both practical and beautiful with custom joinery and thoughtful design.

The doors were completed to a painted finish, while the rest was primed and left ready for the decorator to complete on site—making sure everything fits seamlessly with the room.

We’ll be sharing some progress shots soon—always enjoy showing the journey as much as the finished piece!

Plenty more exciting projects in the pipeline, so if you’re thinking about adding something bespoke to your home, we’d love to chat.

Just wrapped up a great little project for The Fighting C***s Stottesdon, a proper local pub with loads of charm.

We tackled a mix of cellar improvements and b**r garden upgrades to help get the place ready for the warmer months. Down in the cellar, we secured the door to stop chilled air from escaping, sealed the ceiling perimeter with foam, added insulation and plastic sheeting under the stairs, and bricked up a few problem holes to tighten everything up and improve efficiency.

Out in the b**r garden, we gave all the benches some much-needed care—stripping them right back, replacing damaged timber, sanding everything down for a smooth finish, and reassembling them with fresh coach bolts to keep them sturdy for the summer ahead. One bench was in such a state we practically had to resurrect it—but we’re always up for a challenge.

Always a pleasure to work on spaces like this. If your pub, business, or home needs a bit of skilled attention, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Let us know what you think in the comments—or tag someone whose pub garden could use a bit of love!
