🏠🚧 Opening Up Your Home the Safe Way with Seabridge Design & Build! 💪🔨
Love that open-plan feeling? We’re currently transforming this property by removing an internal load-bearing wall – and safety always comes first! Check out the progress in these photos 👇
Here’s exactly what’s happening step-by-step:
1. Propping the Ceiling & Joists First 🛡️�Before any demolition starts, we install heavy-duty Acrow props (Acros) to fully support the ceiling joists above. This keeps everything rock-solid and safe while we work. No shortcuts – structural integrity is non-negotiable! ⚠️🏗️
2. Careful Wall Removal 🧱➡️�With the ceiling safely propped, we strip back plaster and carefully take down the internal wall, exposing the original structure beneath.
3. Padstone Installation 📐�We then build in strong, precisely positioned padstones to create stable bearing points for the new steelwork.
4. Steel Beam Installation 💥�Finally, the RSJ steel beams go in to permanently carry the floor joists above – creating that bright, spacious, open-plan layout everyone’s dreaming of! ✨
