A big one underway this morning for the Dryfix team — 8 days from start to finish to completely overhaul this roof and bring it up to modern standards.

🔨 Works include:

* Carefully stripping the existing roof
* Reusing all good existing small Rosemary tiles
* Replacing all broken or damaged tiles
* New breathable roofing membrane
* New treated timber battens
* New dry ridge system
* Clay bonnet tiles where required
* Full inspection and preparation of the roof structure
* All waste removed from site
* Scaffolding and access managed by our own team
* Roof left fully watertight and professionally finished

Keeping the character of the original roof while upgrading everything underneath it. No unnecessary replacement of perfectly good tiles — just proper roofing workmanship.

A look behind the scenes at a recent roof window installation by the Dryfix team.

We carefully stripped back the existing roof covering, installed new Permavent Red breathable membrane and treated battens, fitted the new roof window with the correct flashing system, then reinstated the existing tiles around the window for a clean, weather-tight finish.

NEW DRY VALLEY INSTALLATION

Another roofing problem uncovered and properly repaired by DRYFIX Group

Once the tiles were stripped back, the existing valley was found to be in poor condition, with deteriorated underfelt, damaged areas and an outdated valley detail leaving the roof vulnerable to water ingress.

We carried out a complete dry valley upgrade:

✅ Existing tiles carefully stripped back
✅ Old valley system removed
✅ Failed felt and defective sections removed
✅ New Permavent breathable membrane installed
✅ New treated roofing battens installed
✅ New GRP dry valley system installed
✅ Tiles cut and reinstated neatly into the new valley
✅ Roof left secure and weather-tight
✅ All waste removed from site

This roof was in serious need of attention. Once the tiles were stripped back, we uncovered badly deteriorated felt, rotten and broken battens, open sections and areas where water could easily pe*****te.

Rather than covering over the problem, our team stripped the affected section back and rebuilt it properly.

EPDM RUBBER ROOF – WORK IN PROGRESS 🔨🏠

Another full flat roof replacement currently underway by the Dryfix team.

This isn’t an overlay or a quick repair — we’re taking the roof right back to the structure and rebuilding it correctly.

🔹 Existing roof fully stripped back to the timber joists
🔹 Joists inspected with repair work carried out where required
🔹 New insulation being installed
🔹 New 18mm OSB decking
🔹 Followed by a one-piece seamless EPDM rubber roofing system
🔹 All perimeter trims, edges and detailing to be professionally finished

Still a work in progress — finished photos to follow.

Doing the preparation properly is what gives the finished roof its strength, performance and longevity.
