🔧 WE’RE HIRING – PLANT & FLEET MECHANIC! 🚛

We're looking for an experienced, hardworking and motivated Plant & Fleet Mechanic to join our growing team at King Civils Ltd!

With our expanding fleet of construction plant, HGVs and commercial vehicles, we're looking for someone who can take pride in keeping our machinery running smoothly and our operations moving! 💪

🔩 What's involved?
✅ Servicing, maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles and plant
✅ Fault finding, diagnostics and breakdown repairs
✅ Working from our fully equipped workshop, including vehicle ramp and HGV inspection pit
✅ Taking ownership of preventative maintenance and minimising downtime

👷 What we're looking for:
✅ Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
✅ Own tools and strong mechanical knowledge
✅ Excellent problem-solving skills
✅ Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently
✅ Full UK driving licence

📍 Stilton, Peterborough – Site Progress Update! 🚧

Great progress being made by our team at Stilton, Peterborough, with the development continuing to take shape! 💪

✅ Adoptable Roads – Now progressing onto the final phase of road construction.

✅ Foundations – Over 50% of the plot footings now completed!

✅ Finishing Works – Preparations underway, with finishing works scheduled to commence in the coming weeks.

Plenty of activity still to come as we continue pushing the development forward. A great effort from everyone involved in keeping the project progressing! 👏

A tired old entrance in need of a well-earned refresh.

With the school holidays giving us the perfect opportunity to get the works completed with minimal disruption, the King Civils team have been busy improving the entrance and giving the area a much cleaner, smarter finish ready for pupils and staff returning.

A simple transformation, but one that makes a big difference to the first impression of the site.

🚨 Introducing King Drainage Solutions 🚨

We’re pleased to officially announce the launch of King Drainage Solutions, a new specialist division of King Civils Ltd.

As part of the continued growth and development of the business, we have invested in specialist drainage equipment and technology to allow us to offer a wider range of drainage investigation, maintenance and surveying services to both existing and new clients.

Our services include:

📹 CCTV Surveying
Detailed internal inspections of drainage systems using specialist CCTV equipment to identify blockages, damage, defects and other issues within the pipework.

📍 Drainage Mapping & Locating
Locating underground drainage runs, manholes and connections to help establish the position and route of existing drainage systems for surveys, construction and future works.

💧 High-Pressure Jetting
Professional high-pressure water jetting to clear blockages, remove debris and help restore drainage systems to a free-flowing condition.

Combining our existing civil engineering and groundworks experience with dedicated drainage surveying and maintenance equipment means we can now provide clients with an even more complete service — from locating and inspecting drainage systems through to identifying problems and helping get them resolved.

This is another exciting step forward for the business, and we’re looking forward to seeing King Drainage Solutions develop alongside King Civils.

📍 Stilton, Cambridgeshire

Great progress being made on site in Stilton, with works continuing on the new foul water pumping station.

Once complete, the pumping station will support the foul drainage network serving 70 new homes across the development, another key piece of infrastructure progressing well on site.

A lot of work goes into the infrastructure beneath a development before the finished homes take shape, and it’s great to see this stage moving forward nicely.

Another strong effort from the King Civils team. 👷‍♂️🚧

📍 Surfleet Primary School

Works are progressing nicely at Surfleet Primary School for our new client, .

Here’s a great before and after of the front boundary wall, which was carefully taken down to establish a suitable access point for a 300-tonne crane.

The crane access was required to allow the new pre-fabricated building to be safely lifted into position over the existing site.

Great to see the project taking shape and pleased to be working alongside Hawker Construction on this one.
