A few update pictures from the work at Mariners Lodge in Burnham Thorpe.

This home is being built using local chalk, complemented by some beautiful brick detailing.

Parker carpentry are now on site installing the roof and oak trusses. 🏡

A few fresh shots from the Farmhouse project

This roof has been one of the more intricate parts of the build, curved dormers, parapet walls, and plenty of detailed carpentry going into every section. Another week or so and we’ll finally start getting the roof tiled in.

We’ve also managed to complete the garage roof using a beautiful blend of handmade clay tiles from .blyth.1840 , the variation and texture in these work perfectly with the character of the house.

Looking forward to sharing more internal progress over the next few weeks as things really start coming together.

Meet Hayley.....

Hayley has been part of the foundations of DD from the very beginning. No job is ever too big or too small, and she’s always there quietly supporting the whole team behind the scenes.

From managing the office to overseeing health & safety on site, Hayley keeps everything running smoothly and always with a smile on her face 😊

We love new builds, but we’re thoroughly enjoying the character and charm of this traditional Norfolk barn. Every beam, brick and wonky wall is starting to tell its story 🤍

Two weeks to go until the kitchen and bathroom installs… 🙌
