Kirby's Home & Garden Help

19/09/2026

🌿 A little diary update!

My diary is coming together really nicely — thank you so much for all the support, recommendations and enquiries since launching Kirby's Home & Garden Help 💚

I've had lots of interest from Budleigh Salterton, so I'm pleased to now be covering Sidmouth to Budleigh Salterton, including the villages in between.

I still have some regular weekday availability on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from November.

🌿 2, 3 or 5 hour visits
🌿 Weekly or fortnightly
🌿 9:00am – 2:30pm

If you, or someone you know, could do with an extra pair of hands around the home, garden or even out and about, I'd love to have a chat.

Feeling incredibly grateful 💚 Thank you to my Mum and Dad at Garden Kit for the lovely introduction. I'm now taking bookings for November. Please get in touch to discuss how I can help you.

What's next for us?

Since announcing our retirement, we've been overwhelmed by the kind messages, support and appreciation from our customers. Thank you all - it truly means the world to us.

Many of you have asked what's next for our family. While Lyn and I are looking forward to some time for ourselves, our daughter Kirby is beginning an exciting new chapter of her own.

After 14 years working alongside us at Garden Kit, she's launching Kirby's Home & Garden Help - offering practical help with Gardening, housework, shopping, errands and more across the local area.

We would be so grateful if you'd follow Kirby's Home & Garden Help and share her page with anyone who might benefit from an extra pair of hands.

Thankyou as always for your support and well wishes as Garden Kit winds down to a close. But - don't forget we are still here until the end of October, with plenty of Aspen fuel and a few machines left to sell. So pop-in and say hi, we'd love to see you.

Welcome!

Hi, I'm Kirby, and I provide friendly, reliable home and garden help for people in Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton and all the villages in-between.

Sometimes it's cutting the grass or changing the bed, and sometimes it's simply sitting down for a cup of tea and a chat. My aim is to make everyday life a little easier, while offering company as well as practical help. Every visit is tailored to what you need most on the day, so no two visits need ever be the same.

I offer light garden maintenance, including grass cutting, hedge trimming and strimming, as well as help around the home with housework, laundry, changing bed linen, shopping, errands and appointments. I'm also happy to help with practical life admin, such as completing forms, making phone calls or using a computer. If you ever need something outside my services, I'll gladly help you find the right person for the job.

While I don't provide personal care, I do provide a dependable helping hand that helps people keep on top of their to-do list. I hold an Enhanced DBS check (including the barred lists), renewed annually, and I have full public liability and business motor insurance for your peace of mind.

I choose to work with a small number of regular weekly and fortnightly clients, allowing me to build genuine relationships and provide a calm, personal service. Keeping my diary manageable allows for a bit of wiggle room when it's needed.

I bring my own battery-powered garden equipment and cleaning supplies, so I'm fully equipped and ready to help.

If you or someone you love could benefit from an extra pair of hands—or simply some friendly company—I’d be delighted to hear from you. We can arrange a free, friendly chat in your home to discuss your needs, with no pressure and no obligation to book. I look forward to meeting you.
