We love a kitchen island, but weβll also be the first to say that not every kitchen needs one.
The right island should earn its place in the room. For some clients, that means extra prep space and storage. For others, itβs somewhere to cook while chatting to family, grab breakfast in the morning or gather with friends over a glass of w**e.
Size matters too. An island thatβs too large can interrupt the flow of the kitchen, while one thatβs carefully proportioned can completely change how the room works.
Thatβs why we always start with the space and how you want to use it, rather than simply adding an island because itβs on the wish list.
