Today’s good deed done, Shirebrook Vets was being flooded and we couldn’t let that happen. We might of got there a little bit late but at least they’re now prepared for the future.

We have to give the biggest THANK YOU to Bella & Daisy's Dad, who came to our rescue following today's downpour with some much-needed sandbags! 🌧️💦

After our earlier battle involving buckets, brushes and a LOT of sweeping 🧹😂, these should hopefully keep that pesky water firmly where it belongs...OUTSIDE! 🚫💧

It's incredibly kind gestures like this that remind us just how wonderful our little community is. 🥹💙 You saw we were struggling and came straight to help—and we honestly can't thank you enough!

Bella & Daisy, please inform Dad that he's officially earned himself some serious brownie points at his next visit!...he can have a scooby snack with you! 😂🐾❤️

It's always rewarding to come back to a previous job and see just how much it's transformed!

This was a garden we first worked on in May last year. We were back today preparing a brand-new raised bed they’ve had built ready for planting, so we took the opportunity to give a couple of shrubs a trim and capture some updated photos to compare the progress.

What a difference just over a year can make! The key to the success of this garden and any other garden is the hard work that went into the initial ground preparation, creating the perfect foundation for the new plants to establish and thrive.

Of course, it doesn't stop there. A huge credit goes to our customers, who have done a fantastic job looking after everything. Their care and regular upkeep have really helped the garden flourish, and it certainly shows.

This weekend, The Traditional Gardener Ltd visited the wonderful Well Dressings at Rowthorne and Heath and what incredible displays they are!

A special mention has to go to Rowthorne, where this year's stunning well dressing celebrates the legendary Sir David Attenborough. The craftsmanship, creativity, and attention to detail are truly outstanding and a fitting tribute to someone who has inspired generations to appreciate and protect the natural world.

The display at Heath was equally beautiful, showcasing the amazing talent, dedication, and community spirit that make Well Dressings such a treasured tradition.

If you're looking for a lovely day out, we highly recommend visiting these marvellous displays to see them in person while they're on show especially because they’re mainly made of flowers!

If your hedges are looking a little overgrown, now is the perfect time to consider getting them back into shape.

From the middle or August through to February is the safest time for hedge cutting when it comes to protecting wildlife and nesting birds. We always carry out thorough checks before any work begins because nature can still surprise us with the occasional late nest in august and September, but the chances are much lower at this time of year.
