🏠 Another Full Roof Replacement Completed!

A complete roofing upgrade on this property, improving its weather protection, insulation and appearance for years to come.

🔹 Safe removal of the existing asbestos-containing roof tiles, carried out under controlled conditions in compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012
🔹 Installation of new breathable roofing membrane and treated timber battens
🔹 New concrete interlocking roof tiles throughout
🔹 New dry ridge and dry hip systems for a secure, low-maintenance finish
🔹 Chimney brickwork raked out and repointed
🔹 Installation of a new MK04 VELUX roof light, bringing additional natural light into the property
🔹 Existing loft insulation topped up to improve thermal performance

Here’s a recent sash window restoration completed for Wells City Council at the Town Hall.

The window arrived at our workshop with significant timber decay, failed joints and years of weathering. Rather than replacing the entire sash, we carefully removed the rotten timber and spliced in new hardwood sections, restoring its structural integrity while preserving as much of the original joinery as possible.

Our specialist joinery workshop enables us to carry out precise, long-lasting timber repairs for both heritage and modern properties. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in property maintenance who wants to work across a varied portfolio of domestic and commercial projects, helping to deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance services.

The Role

As a Maintenance Surveyor, you will:

* Carry out property inspections and condition surveys.
* Prepare schedules of work, repair specifications and quotations.
* Assess maintenance requirements and identify appropriate repair solutions.
* Monitor the progress, quality and cost of ongoing works.
* Liaise with clients, tenants, subcontractors and our operational teams.
* Assist with project planning, reporting and contract administration.
* Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
* Support the delivery of responsive repairs, planned maintenance, voids and refurbishment projects.

We’re Looking For

* Experience within property maintenance, surveying or the construction industry.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workloads.
* A proactive approach to problem solving.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Relevant construction or surveying qualifications are desirable but not essential.
