This homeowner had been battling persistent water ingress, only to discover a previous contractor’s patch-up job had done little more than disguise the problem.

The old flashing installation was poorly executed and left multiple areas vulnerable to water pe*******on. After a full inspection, we stripped out the defective work and carried out a complete repair:

✅ Installed new stepped flashing and cover flashing
✅ Applied Stormdry protection to the adjoining gable end
✅ Renewed verge pointing for a watertight finish
✅ Restored long-term protection against the elements

The result? A professional, durable solution that not only looks the part but keeps the property dry and protected for years to come.

This project involved stripping the building back and completely upgrading the external finish to give it a fresh new lease of life.

🔨 Work completed:
• Removed all old damaged brick slips, rotten backer board & insulation
• Supplied and fitted new insulation, DPM & treated battens
• Installed new Cladco fibre cement cladding sheets
• Finished with all new profiles, corner beads & stop beads

From stripped back to fully transformed 🔨✨

We started by taking everything right back to brick, removing all the old plaster to tackle the job properly from the ground up.

New studwork was installed, complete with insulation, damp proof membrane, and wall straps to ensure a solid, long-lasting finish. The room was then dry lined, bringing it back to life.

To finish things off, we installed new radiators and fully redecorated the space — leaving it fresh, warm, and ready for the customer to move back in.

All works were carried out in full accordance with listed building consent, ensuring the historic character of this beautiful building is preserved.

Our team installed new lead flashings and valley, along with careful Bath stone pointing to match the existing structure.

Scaffolding supplied by TFS Scaffolding Ltd 👷‍♂️
