Winter dried flower wreath, a big one for January. I think too much is made of “January Blues” - no need for them, it’s only winter ❄️ Wrap up warm and get out there or do something creative indoors.

Just popped to the Community Garden; dahlias I planted there still going strong. A lady told me how nice it is to see them there. Cactus dahlia is Hillcrest Candy, the dark one is Addison June. There are still blooms there, just tidying up a bit.

I haven’t got many dahlias left in the garden so I rescued these few yesterday morning before the bloomin rain. Very cheery to have in the house today 😊 😀 . Dahlia flowers are so exotic- and very easy to grow.

Bringing a few beauties inside to save them from storm Amy, due to arrive tomorrow. The big dahlia is Thea which was a cutting from Halls of Heddon this spring -the flowers are long lasting, so I’m happy with that. Josudi Hercules is mellowing into a dark orange from his summer red, I’m happy with that too😀 😃

Some of my dried flower harvest- Before I box them up. I love the colour. I’m sure I planted some pale peach statice- no sign of it though - a garden mystery.

Dahlia semi cactus Josudi Hercules- what a hero 😀 we went to Bamford Garden Show yesterday, so I’m hoping I’ll have some new flowers open for Hope Show next week.

I’m giving the houseplants ten minutes outside in the summer rain. I think they love it as much as I love a paddle in the sea (preferably freezin cold so wakes everything up). ̇n

The lovely Cathy Wright, the best white sweet pea I have ever grown. Lovely blooms, long stems, great fragrance and good growing habit. Thank you Eagle Sweet Peas, she’s a cracker 🥰🥰.

I have been planting out my autumn-sown Ammi Majus today. I must stake it this year because it was damaged by high winds last year. What do you stake your tall flowers with?
