Pleased to share the successful completion of works at the Clarence Hotel, proudly overlooking Scarborough’s stunning North Bay.

A huge well done to the wider team for delivering a high-quality finish within a tight programme.

We provided full architectural services for the project, preparing the building control package for the conversion of former one-bedroom flats to increase the hotel’s guest capacity. Acting as Principal Designer, we oversaw health and safety compliance, coordinated with the project team, and attended site from start to completion to ensure the design intent was achieved and practical solutions were implemented efficiently.

We were delighted to be commissioned by Bridlington Rugby Union Football Club to deliver a new players’ gym, seamlessly linked to the existing clubhouse. Designed to enhance performance and support player development, the facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art strength and conditioning equipment to help improve competitiveness on the field. The proposed building will be constructed from a portal frame and will offer views out over the main rugby pitch, reinforcing the connection between training and matchday.

Our involvement began with a measured survey and the creation of a 3D Revit model to inform the design process. We completed a feasibility study and worked closely with the client to review and refine their requirements. Following this, we prepared and submitted the planning application, liaising with relevant stakeholders throughout. Planning permission was successfully obtained, and we progressed to produce the detailed design package. We then submitted the necessary information for building regulations approval and coordinated with both the energy assessor and structural engineer to ensure compliance and performance. The project is currently in the pre-construction phase, with the aim of starting on site before Christmas 2026.

We are delighted to announce that a proposed orangery and porch entrance has received planning approval. We have since been busy producing construction drawings to enable the contractors to start on site.

The design provides a 50 sq.m mixed-use space for dining and entertaining, benefitting from generous natural light and optimised views across the Vale of Pickering and the Yorkshire Wolds. Materials have been carefully selected to complement the character of the existing stone-built property.

The process began with a high-quality measured survey, followed by design development using 3D tools to clearly communicate proposals with both the client and contractor. This allowed for continual refinement to ensure the final design exceeded expectations.

As part of the concept design, we also developed and fully coordinated the architectural, structural, and building services elements of the project.

We’re proud to have secured planning permission for a new ambulance station in Scarborough, supporting the vital work of Yorkshire Ambulance Services. Our team provided both architectural services and planning consultancy, guiding the project from concept through to approval.

The scheme involves the change of use of an existing building, sensitively adapted and fitted out to meet the operational requirements of the ambulance service. This includes bespoke internal layouts, technical upgrades, and compliance with healthcare standards, all designed to enhance emergency response capabilities in the region.

A great example of collaborative delivery, regulatory navigation, and purposeful design.

To establish a strong visual identity, dark green cladding will be applied to the principal elevation, coordinated with NHS Identity Guidelines colours and aligned with recent YAS refurbishment projects. Paired with dark grey cladding, the proposed development will present a modern and refreshed appearance while remaining consistent in scale with the existing structure. The design has been tailored to be architecturally distinctive, providing a clear and recognisable expression of its function as an ambulance station.

We’re thrilled to announce that planning approval has been granted for this exciting residential scheme!

The proposal focuses on creating modern, open-plan living spaces through a substantial internal remodel, enhancing the existing building fabric to boost energy efficiency, and integrating renewable technologies. The design also includes a orangery extension and pitched roof dormer, bringing both elegance and sustainability to the home.

Our involvement in this project has included:
-Producing as-existing drawings of the development following a detailed measured survey
-Carrying out an options appraisal to meet the client’s brief
-Preparing planning documents, including a heritage statement, as the building is located within a conservation area
-Creating 3D images to communicate the design
-Ensuring compliance with building regulations
-Reviewing clients budget
-Managing the entire planning process from start to finish
