A survey to determine how rats were getting into a property in Ryde was carried out this evening, a drain camera was used to survey the drainage system, and a potential issue was discovered and pinpointed, after removal of gravel, a hidden drain inspection cover was revealed.

Upon opening of the cover, several defects within the drain chamber were quickly discovered, these were proofed with cement ensuring no more rats can get inside this property.

🐝 Bumble Bee Nest Relocation 🐝

We received a call from a customer today who reported seeing a number of bees whilst clearing out a shed, we advise do nothing and leaving bees alone if possible as bees are beneficial to the environment and are very placid.

As the shed was being emptied to be to be demolished, it wasn't possible to leave this nest, the shed was emptied and the nest found amongst the remains of an old parasol.

We were able to recover the nest with the queen bee and most of the foraging bees and relocate it to another location in an unused bird box.
