This one isn't something you see every day!

I was called out to a job where my customer had dropped a toothbrush down the basin waste hole whilst trying to clean it out. Over time, it has caused it to back up and collect a lot of grime.

So I got a bit of 15mm copper, crimped it together slightly and pushed it over the brush, causing it to wedge in the pipe and pulled it out.

A simple solution, a happy customer and a waste pipe flowing freely again!

I was called out to investigate a faulty flush siphon. However once I got a closer look, it became clear there was a much bigger issue. Swipe through to see the issue ๐Ÿ‘‰๏ธ

The close coupling plate had completely rotted away, causing the toilet to leak every time it was flushed. To put everything right, I replaced the close coupling plate, fitted a new flush siphon and installed a new fill valve too.

The result? A leak-free toilet and peace of mind for the customer!

A small change that makes a big difference ๐Ÿ‘Œ Swipe to see the before!

The original waste pipe installation was bulky and poorly positioned, leaving a lot less usable space under the sink. After a refit, the pipework is now compact, tidy, and leaves plenty more room for storage.

The kitchen strainers were also changed for fresh chrome ones!

I was recently called out to a blocked toilet which upon removing the toilet to investigate, I noticed the close coupling plate between the cistern and pan was leaking and completely rusted and corroded. I unblocked the toilet and also replaced the close coupling kit... I'll let you guess which is the new part! ๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ˜‚

A job completed in Rushden recently ๐Ÿ“

These tiles had become loose over time and with the grout cracking, they were letting water in behind. So I removed the tiles along with the damaged board behind, as well as the tray and shower door. I replaced them with a same size stone resin tray, Eastbrook Hydropanel in the New Marble White design and a new 900mm bi-folding shower door. I also installed a new chrome heated towel rail to finish it off. โœจ๏ธ

AFC Rushden & Diamonds is more than just a club, and we are more than just matchdays. Our new home project will provide facilities and infrastructure for our entire community. A new home means a safe and purpose built place for our youth sides, our new womenโ€™s and girlsโ€™ pathway and our walking football sides.

Picture the community coming together for a Diamonds Food Festival, or for Health and Wellbeing sessions run by local businesses out of our facilities - the possibilities are endless.

We want to provide a place open throughout the week and rooted in the community it serves.
