EICRs
Electrical Inspection & condition reports

They come in all shapes and sizes, from large country homes, to small rental flats, to shops and factories. Basically everywhere!

We do a lot of them, both directly for home/business owners but also through various property management firms.

They come with a lot of paperwork, but also can lead to a lot of work. Unfortunately they aren't the most exciting to share about, which is why we have been a bit quiet on here, but trust me, we are BUSY!

Today we were at a Mosque in Wellingborough.

Following a call out a few weeks ago, we were back today to partially rewire and re-feed some of the sockets.

Panelling work had caused multiple faults on the cabling and with the hall finished, we were asked to do the near impossible and carry out the works with little to no disruption to the decor. The 1m drill bit earned its money today!

With some cleverly sited PVC trunking we managed to route cabling around the inside of the building. The sockets that were on the external wall were do using galvanised conduit on the outside.

All in all, with the exception of a few scuffs here and there, the job was complete and the customer was extremely happy.

Nice simple job to kick off the week, supply and install of 3 new storage heaters.

The old ones were removed a few months ago to allow the customer to decorate. Although a straight swap, there were over 100 cast bricks between the 3 of them, with a total weigh of around 360kg, so its been a busy one.

Much smarter and more efficient than the old ones, with the options for remote control as well as multiple in-built settings for ease of use.

A change of use in this gift shop called for a change of lighting.

Although the previous occupiers had pretty decorative lights, it was quite dark and uninviting.

The feature light was removed, 4 new 6ft battens installed along with brighter lamps in the wall lights and lamps.

The supply to the cabin was altered so that all of this can be turned on/off from the central till location.

Ready for the new occupiers to have a sort out and make it their own.

Busy week this week!

Installing 150mm tray containment ahead of pulling in an 80m 100a 3 phase sub main today.

High level access for most all of the outdoor run was with the mobile boom lifter.

Part of the run already had a cable installed which was clipped. We unclipped this and relocated onto the containment for a neater finish. This also makes for future additions a lot simpler.

All done ahead of time, ready for a site wide shutdown on Saturday to connect it in ⚡️✅️

Feature lights installed in my own bathroom refurb. These are switched by a mini pir sensor so that they come on separately to the main lighting, providing a softer light for relaxing, or late night bathroom trips 👌

This mornings job was to wire and install this chandelier in the customers new home. We had to cut a few holes which were patched and given a first coat of filler.

All in all minimal damage to install the fixture on its own switch, ahead of decorating ✅️

That's another EV charger installed ✅️

We seem to be installing a lot of these this year, this particular one was nice and simple. Consumer unit was already compliant so just surface clipping through the garage and mounting the unit.
