This page is dedicated to the construction of a DHR A Class in 7.25" gauge. Gittins in 1983 who took on a commision to build a pair, numbers 9 and 10. Number 9 was completed and delivered and is still running today, albeit having had a new firebox. the order for number 10 was cancelled but Brian continued making parts for it when he had machines set up for number 9. When he retired he decided he o

ught to actually put the bit's together. Roll on a few more years and sadly, Brian died on July 31st 2016. Luckily before then I had a chance to go through the few existing drawings and get an idea of how much work still needed to be done, and I've now took on the task of finishing the engine as Brian wanted. On this page I will keep updates on how she is progressing, and hopefully one day fairly soon there will be some videos of her running.
