Vineyard Track
Our client asked if we could sort out a problem with a track at the vineyard. The problem was that when it rained the runoff of silt and water seemed to build up at the wind break. Our solution was to put in a series of land drains across the area and back fill them with shingle and top them off with crushed concrete and road planings. Seems to have solved the problem as two years later the road is still clear.

Garden Path in Victorian Paviours
Our customer lives in a gorgeous Victorian house and loves her garden but the one thing she felt didn’t do the garden justice was the path, this was a 1960’s tarmacked path that was slowly breaking up. Our customer wanted a path that would reflect the house and garden, so we paved the path with Victorian block paviours and finished the edges with up-cycled Victorian edging.

Concreting a Tractor Shed
We were approached by our customer and asked if we could concrete their tactor shed as with a lot of agricultural buildings the base was just a dirt floor, this was to help keep the dust down and the machinery clean and create a good working environment. One of the problems we had was the fall of the shed this was 2ft from on corner to the other. We needed to create a flat area for our client to hitch their farm implements to the tractors, without creating big ramps further on in the shed. We achieved this with a bit of jiggery pokery.

This project was to build some raised beds, we separated the raised beds from the rest of the garden with a trellis fence, our customer planted 4 types of clematis, Montana and sweet peas to give a wall of colour during the summer months. We covered the ground with granite chippings.

Cedar Staging and Water Butt
With every Cedar Greenhouse you need a water butt to match, here we commissioned a PVC water tank which we clad in Cedar to match the shed and greenhouse, the tank has an overflow and brass tap.
We also made Cedar greenhouse staging with adjustable and removable shelving, for our customer as well.

One of two post’s, here you can see us building the brick base and block wall for the greenhouse and shed, having the concrete block wall between the shed and greenhouse acts as a storage heater, keeping the greenhouse warm at night.

Koi and Natural Pond
The pond has two bottom drains and a skimmer, the filtration system is out of sight behind a rag stone wall, we planted the top of the filter room with ferns and meadow plants, the water exits the filtration room back to the pond via a gravel bed, waterfall and through a natural pond.
