A little behind the scenes fun and games!

Trying to get these Christmas baubles to sit still is almost as hard as herding cats😂

I’m getting these decorations ready in preparation for the Christmas collection .studio, Petersfield which I’m thrilled to be part of.

They will be on display throughout November and December so if you’re making a mental list of places to find some beautiful, unique hand made Christmas gifts and decorations, make sure to pay them a visit.

I spent a really enjoyable afternoon yesterday, leading a painting workshop with a lovely group of ladies as part of their hen party celebrations.

We painted floral glasses as well as a special gift for the bride to be - a little vase with a flower painted by each member of the group. A unique and meaningful memento for the bride to remember a special day surrounded by her friends and family 💛

There were some really beautiful creations and I hope everyone enjoyed getting lost in an afternoon of relaxing painting. I loved seeing everyone’s individual take on the theme and hope that they are proud of their pieces and enjoy using their glasses. I should have taken a photo of the finished pieces to show you how well they did 🤦‍♀️ but if you know me well, you know that social media is not my strong point 😂

I’m doing a little bit of prep for my workshop next week.

I am doing a mindful painting session as part of a Pause and Breathe retreat day and I’m very excited to take part in the day and take some time to slow down and be in the moment.

For my session, we’ll be painting some tealight holders with simple floral patterns. No artistic experience needed as we’ll be using simple brush strokes and just taking time to enjoy the creative process.

I’ve created some sample sheets with examples of some different flowers for you to practice on, so you can get into the flow of the brush before committing to your finished piece.

This will be a fun session and I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone’s creations.

I had a fabulous day yesterday at the Romsey Show with great weather, lovely market neighbours and lots of great conversations with all the wonderful customers who came to say hello, with a special mention to Silkstead Sunflowers, pick your own sunflower farm , Hampshire - it was lovely to see you!

There was a lot of love for my little blue vases and I was very happy that my sunflower globe found it’s forever home with a kindred spirit who loves sunflowers and wearing dungarees! It makes me very happy to think it has found such a good home 🌻

I went for a bit of glam yesterday with my sunflower dress which got a lot of compliments, although somebody did confuse me for one of the singers which was very hilarious as I most definitely would not inflict my tuneless warbling on anyone 😂😂

Thank you so much to Kate| Designer & Creator for all the hard work, spending all day on Friday at the show so that we could all be set up ready for Saturday. I hope you get some well earned rest tomorrow!

A huge thank you to The Romsey Show for such a well organised event, especially to all the stewards who did a fantastic job to make getting in and out of the show run like clockwork and with a smile on their face too!
