***A new integrated energy approach powered by Biodiesel (B100) for UK construction***

Construction electrification depends on more than electric equipment. It depends on how generation, charging, connectivity and site operations work together.
KKB Green Power brings these elements together in one managed ecosystem—designed around complex site demands, equipment duty cycles, charging windows and changing load profiles.
Through its exclusive relationship with JS Power Limited, KKB Group combines OEM-warranted B100 generation with Rolec charging technology, Starlink-enabled connectivity, remote telemetry and intelligent information management.
The approach can support electric construction plant, site vehicles, welfare facilities, BESS units and wider temporary energy requirements where grid power is unavailable, delayed or insufficient.
Its significance lies in connecting lower-carbon generation with construction electrification: turning separate technologies into a coordinated, remotely visible and deployment-ready site-energy system.
KKB Green Power is working with clients, OEMs and project teams to explore where this approach can support live construction projects.

We were incredibly proud to receive the Dev Sharma Community Champion Award at the Gravesham South Asian Heritage Celebrations last week, following an invitation from CohesionPlus.
The award recognised our outstanding commitment to supporting local community projects across North Kent.

The event celebrated the rich cultures, histories and contributions of South Asian communities around the world. South Asian Heritage Month is a nationally recognised programme that brings together communities, organisations, and individuals to celebrate the heritage of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan and the Maldives.

As a construction business we are committed to building more than projects but also invest time, money and effort to supporting to our local community. Participating in local initiatives and celebrating the diversity that makes our communities stronger will always be an important part of who we are.

A huge thank you to CohesionPlus for the invitation and to everyone involved in making the event such a memorable celebration.

A huge thank you to ⭐️ My Shining Star Fundraising Group ⭐️ for hosting the stocks at our Annual Open Day!

As a construction business we are committed to building more than projects but also invest time, money and effort to supporting to our local community.

There was no shortage of volunteers ready to throw sponges at family and friends on the day but our own directors were brave enough to take their place in the stocks too! Colleagues, friends, and family certainly enjoyed the opportunity to soak them with plenty of wet sponges... and the occasional bucket of water!

Thanks to everyone's incredible generosity and support, we raised an amazing £659.55 to help My Shining Star continue their fantastic work supporting local families.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, donated, and helped make it such a fun and successful part of our Open Day. Together, we're proud to show how the construction sector can bring people together, support local causes and make a positive impact beyond the projects we deliver.

Our 2026 Open Day began with a simple goal: to create a welcoming space where our stakeholders, employees, community members and their families could come together to connect, celebrate, have fun and gain a greater appreciation of what we do as a company as well as the role the construction sector can have in supporting local communities. The laughter, entertainment, meaningful conversations and hands-on experiences enjoyed at the event tell us we didn’t just achieve our goal but surpassed it.

The construction sector is built on teamwork, trust and strong relationships, making it the perfect foundation for fostering a family-focused culture - one we are proud to champion at KKB. The event was therefore an opportunity to open our doors, share what we do and inspire the next generation.

At KKB, we believe a positive workplace extends beyond the job site. We are committed to creating a welcoming, supportive environment for our employees and their families because we understand that a healthy work-life balance is key to building a strong team and a successful business.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this year's KKB Annual Open Day such a fantastic success. Together, we're not only building projects—we're building connections, strengthening our communities, and celebrating the people who make our industry so special.

***Alfie Wells is Kent’s Apprentice of the Year***

Our 17-year old plant maintenance trainee from Herne Bay collected his award at a ceremony held at Gillingham FC’s Priestfield Stadium in June.

The awards organisers said: “At just 17 years old, Alfie has demonstrated extraordinary commitment and maturity throughout his apprenticeship journey. Balancing long days, travel and block release training, he has embraced every opportunity available to him while developing strong practical skills and becoming a valued member of the team. His employer describes him as an incredible asset whose attitude and willingness to learn have made a lasting impression.”

Alfie left school at 16 last summer and joined KKB’s Apprenticeship Scheme in October 2025 following a work experience stint at our plant workshop in Hoo. His 2-year apprenticeship consists of on-the-job & classroom-based training at the CITB Construction College East in Norfolk which is fully-funded by KKB. We are confident it will lead to a Plant Mechanics Level 2 qualification for him & a full-time job at our depot repairing and maintaining heavy plant such as excavators, dump trucks and loading shovels.
