Redruth's International Mining and Pasty Festival 2026 returns from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th September 2026, with a weekend celebrating the town’s mining heritage, international connections and, of course, the Cornish pasty.

On Friday, the festival begins with storytelling and the iconic Smoking of the Stacks at Wheal Uny. Saturday brings live music, workshops, talks, markets, pasty competitions at the Buttermarket and heritage activities across the town. On Sunday, the festival concludes with a heritage walk and service at St Euny Church.

💼 𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲: 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫

Redruth Town Council is recruiting a Business Liaison Manager to help build strong relationships with businesses across Redruth.

Salary: SCP 18–23 (£32,578–£35,570 per annum, pro rata)
Hours: 22 hours per week, with some evening and weekend work as required.

This varied role will involve working closely with Redruth’s business community, raising awareness of Town Council activities and securing sponsorship and other support for local projects and events.

The successful candidate will also help the Council understand the needs of local businesses and explore how Council services and activities can support the wider business community.

Closing date: Friday 18 September at 9:00am.

Yesterday, the Mayor Allison Biscoe, Cllr Henry Biscoe, and Cllr Ellie Allen welcomed members of the Redruth Malayali Families to the Civic Centre ahead of their Ponnonam celebration.

Thank you to Redruth Malayali Families for visiting and sharing more about the event.

Thunderstorms, heavy rain and localised flooding are possible across Cornwall overnight and into Thursday morning.

If you’re travelling, take extra care, allow more time for your journey and be prepared for difficult driving conditions.

If you live in an area at risk of flooding, keep an eye on local conditions and make sure you’re prepared. Never drive or walk through floodwater.

Keep an eye out for the Crimestoppers van around Redruth today!

The van is travelling around the town to raise awareness of Redruth’s status as a Crimestoppers Town and to remind people that information about crime can be reported to Crimestoppers anonymously.

Mayor of Redruth, Allison Biscoe, was pleased to meet the team and see the van before it headed out around town.

Tonight the Local Area Energy Plan conversation is taking place at Art Room from 6.30pm onward. Free to attend, with light refreshments provided. If you are interested in sustainable community energy then this is the event for you.

Redruth Town Council have made the decision to extend the application deadline for its new grant scheme from 31st August to Tuesday 15th September to enable community groups who may be on holiday to still apply! The link to our grant scheme is on our website at www.redruth-tc.gov.uk

We are pleased to announce the new forms are much simpler to complete, and we would warmly welcome applications from local community groups, voluntary organisations, charities, social enterprises and community projects.

Plastic Free Redruth is seeking a volunteer Community Lead to help coordinate local efforts and maintain the town's Plastic Free status.

As Community Lead, you would work with Surfers Against Sewage, local businesses, and residents to champion positive action and reduce plastic pollution in our community.
