Alongside my interiors business, I’ve been building an online travel business — because apparently running one business, raising three children and turning 51 wasn’t enough! 😂

I started it because I LOVE travel, but also because I wanted another income stream and something I could build around my already busy life.

And it’s growing… so I’m sharing more of the travel side of my life over on my other page.

I absolutely love what I do. Creating beautiful curtains, blinds and soft furnishings is something I’m proud of.

But after years of sewing, fitting and working with my hands, I started thinking about what I want my working life to look like in the next 10–15 years.

I didn’t want to give up my interiors business — I just didn’t want to rely on it being my only income.

So I started building a second business in travel alongside it.

Something I can do around my existing clients, from my phone, without taking on more sewing hours.

✈️ Another income stream
⏰ More flexibility
💷 Something for the future
🌍 And the chance to earn from something I genuinely love — travel.

And I’m sharing this because I know there are other women in the soft furnishings trade thinking about the same things.

You don’t have to walk away from the business you’ve built. You can build something alongside it.

May was incredibly busy in the workroom- 23 Roman blinds, 4 pairs of curtains, 4 cushions and some alterations!
But I also managed a long weekend in Spain with my travel business friends, our eldest daughter’s 21st and a first trip to RHS Chelsea.
June is looking pretty busy too! Must take some better pictures this month!
