Civil Engineer (Rail Drainage)
Location: Basingstoke, Slough, and Home
Salary: Dependent on relevant experience
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break)
Work Location: Hybrid (Office-based in Basingstoke and Slough, with home working flexibility)

Remarkable Jobs are recruiting for a Civil Engineer (Rail) to join a growing team working on a variety of exciting rail infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to major transport developments while benefiting from hybrid working arrangements.
As a Civil Engineer (Rail Drainage) , you will be involved in the design, planning, and ex*****on of rail projects, covering areas such as track drainage, embankment stabilisation, culverts, and temporary works. This role requires a strong design background and the ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Civil Engineer (Rail):
* Project Support: Assist in managing rail infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, timelines, and budgets are met.
* Design Work: Carry out detailed civil engineering design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including structural engineers, contractors, and environmental specialists.
* Quality Assurance: Maintain high engineering standards and ensure all project deliverables meet safety regulations and industry standards.
* Innovation: Stay updated with advancements in rail engineering and contribute ideas to improve efficiency and sustainability.
What We're Looking For:
* A Civil Engineer (Rail) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering, specifically within the rail sector.
* Design experience is essential - candidates must have a strong background in civil engineering design.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required, with MicroStation experience being an advantage.
* Chartered and non-chartered applications are accepted.
* Must have full UK working rights.
* Must hold a valid UK driving licence and own a car for site visits.
