With Spring nearly upon us it's time to get the mower out & tidy those lawns! With a long, wet winter (almost!) behind us, we may also need to treat moss & fungus that thrive in damp conditions.
Alongside Spring bulbs poking through the soil, there are also weeds to remove to give our plants the best chance to thrive

January might be in the midst of winter but gardens still need care. The short days & long evenings are a great time to make plans even when you can’t get outside. Order those bulbs, seeds & plants & think about garden designs. What changes would you like for the spring, a new patio or veranda perhaps? Check your winter protection, stakes, ties and supports are still working after any severe weather. How are fences, trees, decking etc looking? Don’t forget our feathered friends & any small mammals that take shelter in gardens, put out bird food & leave some corners undisturbed for nesting.

1. Pruning. Many plants benefit from pruning this month whilst they’re still dormant like roses, fruit trees, wisteria & rhododendron as examples 🌳
2. Clean pots, tools & greenhouses ready for spring🧹🧽
3. Remove faded flowers 🥀
