The lock lad

14/10/2026

There’s been a post lately about locksmiths advertising on Google, so I want to take a moment to reassure my customers and explain who I am and what my business stands for.
Using Google Ads to grow a genuine local business does not make someone a scammer.
Like many small business owners, I use advertising to help more local customers find me, grow my business and continue providing a reliable service. I’m proud of what I do, and I believe customers should judge a business by its honesty, workmanship, reviews and the way it treats people — not simply by whether it advertises on Google.
Unfortunately, there are rogue operators out there who take advantage of people when they're vulnerable, stressed or locked out. They give our industry a bad name, and I completely agree that this behaviour is unacceptable. Nobody should be exploited when they need help.
That is not how I operate.
I'm Dan, The Lock Lad, your local mobile domestic and automotive locksmith, with over 200 genuine 5⭐ reviews across Facebook and Google.
Here's what you can expect from me:
✔️ Honest, clear pricing — I'll explain the costs before carrying out the work.
✔️ No unnecessary upselling — I won't recommend work you don't need.
✔️ Reliable communication — clear updates and realistic arrival times.
✔️ Quality workmanship — taking pride in doing the job properly.
✔️ A genuine local service — someone who cares about his reputation and the people he helps.
I also understand that unexpected lock and key problems can put people under financial pressure. If you're struggling or worried about the cost, please feel free to get in touch. I'm always happy to have an honest conversation and discuss what options may be available.
Whether you need help with a door, a window, a spare car key, lost all your car keys, or simply want some honest advice, I'm here to help.
I'm not asking anyone to take my word for it. Please take a look at my reviews, ask questions and make an informed decision.
I'm proud to be growing my business, proud to use legitimate advertising to reach more customers, and proud to earn my reputation through the work I do.
Supporting a genuine local business should never be confused with supporting a scammer.
Thank you to everyone who has trusted me, recommended me and supported The Lock Lad. It genuinely means a lot.

Excellent service, replied to my message straight away and went to my mums to sort a broken key in the lock as soon as I messaged.

A great experience! We were in a difficult situation due to a broken lock and they were able to help and fix the door on such a short notice.Wonderful professionalism! Would definitely recommend.

A massive thank you to my fellow Army brother, Dan, for coming out on a Sunday morning to help me, even though it meant missing his daughter’s football game. He did an absolutely excellent job getting into both my locks front and back of my house and then changing them both. His professionalism, knowledge and workmanship were second to none.

I couldn’t be prouder of how well you’ve settled into civilian life, brother. It’s brilliant to see you doing so well and putting your skills to good use.

If anyone needs a professional locksmith, I would highly recommend Dan. You won’t find a better, more reliable bloke who knows his trade inside and out.
Thanks again, brother. Top man and a true legend! 💪🇬🇧🔑

On the Friday evening my door wouldn't lock anymore. I called The Lock Lad at 6pm- he picked up straight away and came around without hesitation. He came in under 20 minutes to sort it all out. Super professional, top and honest guy. 11/10 will reach out to him again if I have any lock issues.
