"Won't they just go away when it gets cold?"

Eventually the colony dies out, but some wasp nests stay active into late autumn. There isn't a fixed date when every nest stops.

If yours is beside a doorway or wasps are coming into the house, you don't have to put up with the problem while you wait for winter. A nest well away from people may be best left alone.

For a troublesome active nest, our domestic treatment is £95 throughout our service area. Next-day appointments are available, with same-day visits when they fit the route.

If the treated nest is still active after 48 hours, I come back free. Further active nests at the same home are covered until 31 December 2026.

For cafés, schools, landlords and other busy sites, pest control is not just about dealing with the thing somebody spotted today.

Our Priority Prevention service can include planned inspections, monitoring, clear treatment reports and responsive support when something changes. It gives the person responsible a proper record of what has been checked and what needs doing next.

Fresh molehills are a good sign that a run is still active. The visible hill is only the spoil; the tunnel system continues below the surface.

We provide professional mole trapping for suitable gardens, paddocks and land, with return visits arranged as needed.

Send us a photograph of the affected area and your postcode, or call 01704 213025.

Not every bee nest needs removing. If it is out of the way and is not putting anybody at risk, leaving it alone can be the best answer.

If you are unsure whether you have bees or wasps, send us a clear, zoomed-in photograph taken from a safe distance and show us where they are entering. We will help identify them before recommending any treatment.

Message the page or call 01704 213025 for advice.

Scratching in a wall or loft, droppings under the kitchen units or gnawing in an outbuilding can all point to rats or mice.

We investigate where the activity is, treat it appropriately and explain the likely access points and practical proofing work. Domestic rodent visits are £65, with most problems requiring two or three visits.

Request an appointment at jalveypestcontrol.co.uk or call 01704 213025.

A wasp nest does not have to be in a roof or wall. In this video, the entrance was tucked into old timber close to ground level.

If we have already treated a wasp nest at your home this year and you spot another entrance elsewhere on the property, do not book and pay again. Give us a call.

Further nests at the same property are included in the £95 cover until 31 December 2026. The original nest is also covered by a return at no extra cost if it remains active after 48 hours.

Call 01704 213025 and we will check the details.
