Bedroom Refresh 🤎

What a difference a fresh colour palette can make! This bedroom has been transformed using Valspar Premium, custom mixed to Pale Walnut and Candle Cream (both beautiful shades from the Dulux Heritage range) 🤎

The two colours complement each other perfectly and have created such a warm, cosy feel in the room.

I started by prepping the walls, then caulked and primed all of the panelling before getting stuck into the painting. The ceiling was finished in Dulux Walls & Ceilings Brilliant White, with all the woodwork finished in Dulux Eggshell.

I absolutely love how this room has come together.
Another reminder that the right colours can completely transform a space!
Now ready for a couple of days rest ready to start my next customer project next week 👌🏻

My friend braved the brown… and I honestly think she made the best choice! 🤎

This room needed a LOT more prep than I had anticipated, but we got there eventually… and the before & after is pretty crazy! 👌🏻

The most stunning brown giving the cosiest, warmest feel. 🤎

So, if someone tells you “don’t paint it brown”…

Paint it brown! 😂

Hallway transformation complete!

What a difference! 💚

The customer had already stripped most of the wallpaper before I arrived, so I got to work removing the remaining bits before tackling lots of prep to get these walls ready.

Once everything was prepped, the walls were sized and I installed lining paper… definitely not my favourite job 😂 but we got there!

Then came the fun part… paint!

All paints used were Dulux with white refreshed ceilings, Village Maze on the walls, and finished off with the woodwork primed and then painted in Dulux Trade Satinwood. Doors were left as these are being replaced.

A complete transformation and the green is just lovely 🫶🏻

Another hallway ticked off the list! ✔️

From where we started ➡️ to where we are now! 👀

Brand new job started this week.

The customer had already stripped most of the old wallpaper, so I started by removing the remaining bits before tackling the walls….

There’s been A LOT of filling, sanding and prep, followed by lining paper to give a much better surface to work with.

On Friday I applied a watered-down coat over the lining paper, ready for me to fill and sand the seams on Monday. Then it’s onto the exciting bit… two top coats and the transformation will really start to come together! 🙌🏻

It’s amazing what goes on underneath that final coat of paint! 🤍

A very exciting delivery for Calve & Co! 🤎

Unboxing my new sanders & dust extractor, and I honestly can’t wait to put them to the test.

I’ve always believed in investing back into my business and into the tools that can help me work smarter, improve the finish and make those bigger prep jobs that little bit easier.

Tomorrow is the first proper test… so let’s see what they can do! 👀🙌🏻

Here’s to continually learning, upgrading and growing the little business I started from scratch. 🥹🤎

Didn’t actually realise how ‘broad’ I was until this voiceover 🫣🤣 However, you don’t get anywhere whilst staying in your comfort zone! 🤣

So here are the final two rooms from this job for the loveliest lady… and these two tested me! 😅

The bathroom hadn’t previously been mist coated, which meant the paint started peeling away on my roller. I tried to repair it, but eventually it all had to come off and I had to start again properly.

Then the hallway brought the same issue. Stripping the wallpaper pulled chunks of the paint underneath with it, so everything had to be scraped back, mist coated and then emulsioned.

Both rooms were finished in Dulux Summer Linen, which was taken through the house to create a lovely, warm and cohesive feel. 🤍

Definitely not the easiest two rooms, but I got there in the end and I’m so happy with how they turned out!

Another room reveal from this week….

This one was an absolute pleasure from start to finish, and I’m so happy with how it all came together. 🤍

A beautiful finish using all Dulux paints- White on the ceilings, Summer Linen on all the walls and all woodwork finished in Eggshell. Two stunning feature walls were then added with a gorgeous wallpaper from The Range bringing the room together perfectly. ✨
