🔧 Blocked Outside Drain – Cleared & Tested!

Another drainage issue resolved for a customer!

We attended site following a blockage to an outside drain, where a build-up of tissue and debris was restricting the flow and preventing the drainage system from working as it should.

Our approach to getting things flowing again:

▪️ Blockage clearance – We cleared the blockage, removing the tissue and debris causing the obstruction.

▪️ CCTV drain inspection – Once cleared, we carried out a CCTV inspection of the gully to check its condition and look for any visible issues.

▪️ Dye testing – We then dye tested the drainage system to confirm the flow path and ensure the drain was free-flowing following our works.

✔️ With the blockage removed and the necessary checks completed, we were able to confirm that the drain was flowing freely again.

Blocked Drain in Fulwood, Preston, Traced to a Collapsed Internal Drain

Proud to have solved another stubborn blocked drain in Fulwood, Preston! 🔧

Our drainage engineers attended, carried out a CCTV drain survey and found the real cause: a collapsed internal drain. Clearing the blockage alone would only have been a temporary fix, so the customer got a clear diagnosis and the right solution.

🚨 ANOTHER COMMERCIAL DRAINAGE ISSUE SORTED! 💦

We were recently called out to a commercial property experiencing drainage problems, with water not flowing as it should.

After investigating the issue, we located and cleared the blockage, getting the drainage system flowing freely again. 💪

But we didn’t just pack the kit away and say, “That’ll do!” 😂

Once the blockage had been cleared, we carried out dye testing to make sure the water was travelling through the drainage system correctly and reaching the intended outlet.

🚨 BLOCKED DRAINS? SOMETIMES THE BLOCKAGE ISN’T WHAT YOU THINK… 🚨

We recently attended a commercial property that was experiencing frequent blocked drains. The drains were repeatedly backing up, despite previous attempts to clear them.

Rather than simply clearing the blockage and waiting for the next call-out, we decided to investigate the root cause. 🔎

📹 A CCTV drainage survey was carried out, and it revealed exactly why the problem was happening.

The internal pipework was heavily affected by hard, compacted encrustation throughout the drainage system. Over time, this had significantly reduced the internal diameter of the pipes and restricted the flow.

And here’s where the trouble starts… 👀

🧻 Tissue and waste were catching on the rough, heavily encrusted surfaces inside the pipework, creating the perfect conditions for further build-up and repeated blockages.

In simple terms — the pipes were technically still there, but they were becoming more like a straw with a load of concrete stuck inside it! 😂

💦 A standard unblocking only treats the symptom.

By carrying out a CCTV survey, we were able to identify the underlying problem and provide the property with a much clearer picture of what was actually happening inside the drainage system.

This is why CCTV surveys can be particularly valuable for commercial properties suffering from recurring drainage issues. Instead of repeatedly paying to clear the same blockage, identifying the cause allows the correct remedial work to be considered.

🚨 ANOTHER BLOCKED DRAIN — SORTED! 🚨

This drain had decided it was officially going on strike… but thankfully, we managed to persuade it otherwise! 😂💧

We were recently called out to a property with a blocked drain causing drainage issues. After carrying out a dye test, we confirmed the affected line and quickly found the culprit... baby wipes! 🚫

Although many wipes are labelled as "flushable", they don't break down like toilet paper and can easily build up inside your drains, leading to stubborn blockages and costly repairs.
