🛠️ From a standard bunk bed… to a bespoke bedroom feature! 🛠️

This one was a proper transformation 👌

We took the existing bunk bed and completely upgraded it with a bespoke timber framework, full-height safety rails and a handcrafted staircase, creating a much more exciting and cosy space for the customers child.

The staircase was designed to work around the existing storage, adding extra storage to the bottom whilst gaining height to access the NEW opening to the top bunk while making use of every bit of available space.

We also added the timber panelling and detailing to give the whole bed a more built-in, bespoke feel rather than looking like an off-the-shelf bunk bed.

And once the bedding, storage and lighting went back in… what a difference! 🔥

A great example of how a bit of clever carpentry can completely transform a child’s bedroom without changing the whole room.

Staircase & Landing Balustrade Upgrade 🛠️✨

A great staircase transformation completed for another happy customer!

The customer originally contacted us to remove the existing cladded newel posts, which were restricting their knees when using the stair lift.

Rather than simply removing the existing cladding surrounding the posts, they decided to take the opportunity to give the whole staircase and landing balustrade a fresh, modern upgrade.

The new design includes:

🔨 New pine handrail & base rail
🤍 Pre-primed white square spindles
🏡 Matching balustrade continued onto the landing
✨ Removal of the bulky existing cladded newel posts
👌 A cleaner, brighter and more open finish

The customer chose the combination of natural pine with white square spindles, giving the staircase a timeless look while also improving accessibility around the stair lift.

Another example of how a relatively simple change can completely transform the look and practicality of a staircase.

Ensuite ➡️ Spacious Bedroom Transformation 🛠️

A great transformation on this project! 👌

The existing ensuite had taken up a large amount of valuable space within the bedroom, leaving the room feeling cramped and cluttered.

We completely ripped out the existing ensuite, removed the internal partitioning and opened the space back up to create a much larger, more practical bedroom.

The work included:
🔨 Ensuite rip-out and removal
🔨 Removal of partition walls
🔨 Making good and plastering
🔨 Ceiling repairs and plastering
🔨 Preparing walls ready for decorating
🔨 Altering the layout to maximise the bedroom space

What was once a cramped ensuite area is now being transformed back into valuable bedroom space, giving the room a much more open and spacious feel.

Another example of how changing the layout of a property can make a huge difference without adding an extension.

✨ Side Access Transformation ✨

What was once a tired, uneven side access area with little kerb appeal has been completely transformed into a clean, practical, and welcoming entrance.

The existing area was overgrown, worn, and difficult to navigate, with an old step and patchy ground creating an untidy first impression. After removing the old materials and preparing the ground properly, we constructed a brand-new timber decking platform and step to create a level, durable, and attractive access route.

✅ Ground preparation and clearance
✅ New timber subframe construction
✅ Premium treated decking installation
✅ Safer and more practical access
✅ Instant boost in kerb appeal

The finished result not only looks far more inviting but also provides a solid, low-maintenance solution that complements the property’s character and makes full use of the space.

Another quality project completed by LS Interiors — turning neglected outdoor areas into functional spaces that add value and make a lasting impression.
