Today we’ve been at the unbelievably large site that is the Ikea distribution centre in Dartford.

The objective is to improve logistical operations through video analytics using Axis Communications range of analytic cameras along with Azure cloud integration.

We have been able to provide so far:
• Full civil works
• Structured cabling installation
• Supply of Axis Communications analytic cameras

Updates on the next stage of these projects to follow along with our installation of the Axis cameras themselves and the commissioning of the system at this first site.

Griffiths Security & Smart Technology and ClearQuote is on the way to Brussels today to catch up with a distribution client from a Belgian delivery service. We’re discussing a vehicle analytics video solution, which helps monitor and compare the condition of delivery vehicles as they leave and return to depots across the country.

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Security Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. Due to the rapid growth of the business since we established in 2018 we are able to offer great progression within the company for the right candidate.

• Job Title: Security Engineer
• Location: South Wales mainly with some work over the bridge but minimal.
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Permanent
• Competitive Salary + Company Vehicle + Overtime (Dependent on experience)

Day To Day Responsibilities Of The Role and experience needed:

• Install, maintain, and commission security systems following industry standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with access control and security systems with some minor fire systems.
• Provide technical support to customers as needed.
• Keep accurate records of all work completed.
• Knowledge of IP video is essential
• Minimum experience of 3 years in Fire & Security Engineering
• Knowledge of security system installation techniques, equipment, and tools along with some fire knowledge.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
• Ability to work independently is a must.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed however we do try to schedule work predominantly within the working week.
• Valid and clean driver's license with minimal endorsements.
