The great British classic, found in many gardens, the Hydrangea took 2nd and 3rd places in the 2026 RHS Chelsea Plant of the Year competition!

Hydrangea paniculata GROUNDBREAKER® RUBY secured second place with its unique color-changing flowers, while VELVET NIGHT RED LACE won third for its near-black foliage!

It inspired me to spend some time in my own garden - check out our newly re-planted corner with our own Hydrangea. Not a competition winner but growing beautifully none the less.

Here's a big upload to catch up on some of my recent work. I've been keeping busy thanks to very generous recommendations and word of mouth business that I've not updated you all for ages! 🫣

It's felt great;
🌞being out in the sunshine,
🌳shaping trees, bushes,
💪battling brambles and ivy
⛏️weeding,
✂️pruning and
👨‍🌾all round green-fingered activities!

🚪Plus some maintenance of gates, shed doors and odd jobs.
