Then and Now: Lawson Street, Workington📍

Once home to the Marsh and Quay neighbourhood, Lawson Street was closely connected to life around Workington's port. Most of the homes were demolished during the 1970s, leaving the land unused for many years and becoming a longstanding eyesore within the town.

Now, the area is home once again.

Harbour Place has brought new life to this brownfield site, providing affordable housing and extra care accommodation for the local community.

The buildings may have changed, but Lawson Street is once again a place to live, connect and call home 🏡
