Farmers and landowners who were eligible to apply but did not submit an application during Window 1 can do so during Window 2.

Window 1 of the Sustainable Farming Incentive opened on July 1st and as expected demand is high.

🔴 50% of funds were allocated in the first three days of the window opening🔴

The first application window is open to two groups:
👉️ Small farms (up to 50 hectares)
👉️ Farms without an existing Environmental Land Management agreement

Window 1 is expected to remain open for 2 months or earlier should all funds be allocated. We encourage eligible farmers to apply as soon as possible but should you not, you can apply in Window 2 later in the year.

DEFRA have released guidance on this year's Capital Grants Scheme, which much remaining the same as previously.

Available items are organised into the same categories as last year:
🔴 Boundaries, trees and orchards
🔴 Improved water quality
🔴 Improved air quality
🔴 Improved natural flood management
🔴 Assessments
🔴 Improvements

Applications open in July, with a total of £225 million of funding available to help farmers and land managers carry out environmental improvements across England.

Demand for last year’s offer was high, and strong interest is expected again this year.
