🎉 Congratulations, Jake! 🎉

Today marks a proud moment for both Jake and the whole team at Frilu Design & Build.

After years of hard work, dedication, and commitment to developing his skills, Jake has successfully completed his APL apprenticeship and is now a fully qualified landscaper.

Since joining the team, Jake has grown tremendously, gaining experience across all aspects of landscaping, from groundwork and paving through to structures, planting, and the finer details that help bring our projects to life. Throughout his apprenticeship, he has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.

As a business, we strongly believe in investing in people and supporting the next generation of skilled landscapers. Seeing Jake complete his qualification and continue to progress within the industry is something we're incredibly proud of.

Jake has become a valued member of the Frilu team, and this achievement is thoroughly deserved.

PROJECT UPDATE | Greenhouse Build in Progress 🌿

A busy day on site as the team continue making great progress on this bespoke greenhouse project.

The brickwork is moving along well, and we’re aiming to reach full finished height today. It’s always rewarding to see a project start to take shape as the structure becomes visible and the vision begins to come together.

A lot of hard work has gone into this stage already, and credit to the team for their effort and attention to detail throughout the build.

We’ll keep sharing updates as the project progresses and look forward to showing you the finished result.

We are busy, growing, and ideally looking for skilled landscapers to join our Landscaping Team. We are also open to people who are practical, reliable and keen to learn.

At Frilu the work is varied, from high-end residential gardens to commercial outdoor spaces, often involving pergolas, paving, groundworks, garden rooms, walling, and detailed design-led builds.

Finishing exams soon… and don’t fancy wasting the summer indoors?

We’re looking for someone to join our team and get stuck into helping build high-end outdoor spaces across the region as a hands-on labourer.

What you’ll be doing:
– Assisting with groundworks & site prep
– Moving materials (paving, aggregates, timber, etc.)
– Keeping sites clean, organised & running smoothly
– Supporting our team on installs (patios, pergolas, outdoor kitchens & more)

What we’re looking for someone:
– Reliable
– Not afraid of physical work or getting stuck in
– Positive attitude & willingness to learn
– Interest in construction/landscaping
– Summer position (with potential for more for the right person)

Representatives from the APL, British Association of Landscape Industries , Landscape Institute and Society of Garden and Landscape Designers met to discuss how the industry can work together to help members, educators and the wider landscape sector understand and adopt the Standard effectively.
