Watch Dirty Business on channel 4 on monday evenings to see what water companies are doing the waterways. Before you disregard my comments just remember where you drinking water comes from. Privatisation of Britain's water companies are nothing but vile. Wasn't the idea of sewerage works was to eliminate pathogens getting into water ways?. It is clear as clear all the agencies including the enviroment agency and the Government are complicit in this debarcle. Doesn't this worry anyone or am I alone in thinking this?

Hi I haven't posted in a while due to being busy with other projects. Its been brought to my attention recently by a couple of individuals( thanks for contacting me) that there are a fair number of Ryder guitars floating about that are not made by me. From what I can gather these guitars are made overseas for the budget market and indeed are nothing whatsover to do with me. My guitars are built of the highest quality tonewoods and are NEVER supplied in a gigbag as this is a surefire one way ticket to distruction. Don't be fooled into buying one of these thinking you are getting one of my guitars. If you need clarification please contact me before purchasing one. I won't be changing my name on my guitars as I have been building guitars since the early 1980's long before Ryder shops started importing their range of instruments. I have no issue with them doing this as I am sure it helps with the charities fund raising but by the same token I would appreciate if they were kind enough to at least make purchasers well aware of this situation. Well haven't posted in a long time. Its very busy here at the moment. I am finishing up this Explorer type guitar. Its a 1958 spec ableit with a two piece body( try getting a one piece body blank in Limba(korina) that will do this size. A bit more challenging that even the best mahogany trust me.) although its hard to see the join as its beautifully quarter sawn and light in weight. It sings when its being sanded let alone strung up and played. I am open to sensible offers over £3000 for what is going be a stunning example..

Hi al, sorry not to have posted in a little while. I built this beauty back last year and it was snapped up by a regular customer of mine. However that customer has had a job offer abroad that is too good to be missed up on and now unfortunately that same customer needs to trim his guitar collection considerably and it is now offered back for sale. It is still in pristine condition and my customer is looking for close to £1600 as possible. If anyone is seriously interested in the guitar contact me and I will put you in touch. Hi, its a long time since I posted. Some of you know I have had some serious ups and downs with my health. However over the summer my chemo was stopped and I have felt much better. I have been busy in the workshop and have completed a few projects. This is one of them. It is an SG style guitar based on an early 1960s model with a few changes. It is currently up for sale for a modest price for custom built guitar.
Here are its specs
Old Brazilian Mahogany(imported to the UK in 1973)body and Neck, old Madagascar Rosewood fingerboard
1960s appropriate celluloid fingerboard inlays
Kluson double ring tuners
Lightweight aluminium tailpiece
ABR1 bridge
Handwound PAF pickups with a similar spec to the pickups in Billy Gibbons "Pearly Gates" with Alnico 2 sandcast magnets made here in the UK to old traditional formulas similar to those used in the late 50s/60s
PIO caps and selected CTS pots
The asking price is £2000 or a sensible genuine offer.

All in all a very very attractive package. All I know it is a fabulous opportunity to own one of my guitars. It truly is a one of a kind instrument

Well Chris' Custom is a slight departure from my normal requests. This one is going to be an interesting because it will have a Seymour Duncan custom shop Alnico 5 pickup in the neck position and regular P90 in the bridge position like the old '54 customs but with a wraparound bridge instead of an ABR1. Finish in nitro cellulose Black. I have had people ask me about cost on these before but I do know now there is a ton more work in these than a regular sunburst....
