A boiler service can spot problems before they turn into breakdowns 🔧🔥

During one of our routine boiler services, we found that the ignition electrode was severely worn and needed replacing. In the photo, you can see the difference between the old, worn electrode and the replacement.

The ignition electrode plays an important role in lighting the boiler. As it wears over time, it can become less reliable and may eventually cause ignition faults or leave the boiler unable to fire up.

Because this issue was identified during the annual service, the worn part could be replaced before it failed completely!

New Build Development Completed – Anerley

We were proud to work alongside a developer on this fantastic new-build project in Anerley, delivering the complete plumbing, heating and renewable energy installation across four modern terraced homes.

Each property features:
✔ 3 Bedrooms
✔ 2 En-suite Bathrooms
✔ Family Bathroom
✔ Downstairs WC

Our installation included:

- Worcester Bosch Compress 5800i AW 5kW Air Source Heat Pump with outdoor unit.
- Worcester Bosch Compress 5800i AW 180L pre-plumbed hot water cylinder.
- Underfloor heating to both ground and first floors using Pert-Al-Pert pipework.
- Heatmiser NeoStat V2 smart room thermostats throughout.
- Heatmiser UH Wiring Centre installation.
- Full first fix hot and cold water services.
- Second fix installation of all client-supplied sanitaryware.
- New cold water services to each of the four properties.
- New above-ground soil and sub-stack drainage systems for every home.

Another heating system transformation completed!

We recently replaced an ageing 40kW gravity-fed system boiler and vented hot water cylinder that was no longer able to meet the property's heating and hot water demands.

The customer chose to upgrade to a high-efficiency Worcester Bosch cascade system, delivering improved performance, reliability and future-proofing. The new installation includes:

✔ Twin Worcester Bosch system boilers in a cascade configuration
✔ Low loss header for effective hydraulic separation and optimum system efficiency
✔ 300L unvented hot water cylinder for increased hot water performance
✔ Dedicated heating circuits for both radiators and underfloor heating
✔ New thermostatic radiator valves throughout the property
✔ Full system powerflush to ensure maximum efficiency and longevity

Another quality installation completed by the ProTherm team.

This project features two Worcester Bosch system boilers supplying four independently controlled heating zones, providing efficient, reliable heating throughout the property.

To maximise performance, we installed a low loss header for optimal hydraulic separation, along with a Silox 300-litre twin-wall hot water cylinder from AIC which is designed for maximum efficiency and reliability. Its innovative twin-wall design provides rapid heat transfer, faster reheat times and a consistent supply of hot water, even during periods of high demand.

We also upgraded the mains water supply with a 4-bar booster pump and accumulator system, ensuring excellent water pressure and flow across the property.

From the carefully designed system layout to the neat copper pipework, every installation is completed with performance, reliability and attention to detail in mind.
