OLNEY Building & Renovations

This garage was stripped back and converted into a bright, fully finished room, complete with new flooring, lighting, plastered walls and a window to bring in natural light.

It's amazing what you can do with the space you've already got.

You'd barely know there was ever a garage there!

Whether it's a home office, playroom, extra bedroom or somewhere for the family to spread out, a garage conversion can be a great way to make your home work better for you, without building an extension.

Got a garage that's become more of a storage cupboard than anything else?

The extra space your family needs could already be there...

For this project, an underused double garage was transformed into a bright, spacious family kitchen.

Rather than simply converting the garage as it was, We suggested opening up the existing roof to create a vaulted ceiling, adding a Velux for more natural light and installing French doors to connect the new kitchen directly with the patio and garden.

Often family homes still need somewhere for the bikes, tools and all the other stuff that accumulates, so on this project part of the garage was retained as practical storage too.

The result is a completely different way of using the home. More space to cook, eat and spend time together, without needing to build an extension.

If you’ve got a garage or other space that isn’t really earning its keep, it might be capable of much more than you think.

Feel free to take a look at the full project on our website, or get in touch to talk through what might be possible in your home.

Kitchens are the heart of the home and make the biggest difference to how a home flows.

A kitchen that understood the assignment!

Clean lines, handleless cabinetry, stone worktops and plenty of space to gather around the island, this Olney renovation gave the heart of the home a serious upgrade.

However, good renovation work isn’t just about the finished photos. It’s about getting the details right from the first plans through to the final fitting and making the whole process feel as straightforward as possible along the way.

We’re rather pleased with how this one turned out, more importantly so is the client!

Thinking about giving your home the same treatment?

Planning building work is exciting. Coordinating all the different parts of it... Usually less so.

That’s why we take care of the whole project.

From the initial plans and building work through to the kitchen, bathroom and finishing touches, we can manage everything under one roof. You have one team to deal with, one point of contact and a project that keeps moving.

So whether you’re thinking about extending, renovating or completely reworking the space you already have, you don’t need to work out all the details before you speak to us.

Tell us what you’d like to change about your home and we can talk through what’s possible.

What a week on our garden renovation project!

The team has been busy excavating, setting out the new levels and getting the footings ready. Next week, the new retaining walls start going up, and we’ll really begin to see the garden take shape.

It might look like a lot of digging right now, but this is where the transformation begins. We’re making great progress and can’t wait to show you what comes next!

A big thank you to Smith Aggregates for their prompt help getting the muck away, and to Alpha Toilets for supplying the site toilet. It’s always good to have reliable local companies helping us keep things moving.

Thinking about starting a project of your own? Whether it’s a garden renovation, an extension or changes inside your home, we’d love to hear what you have in mind. Visit our website or send us a message to get the conversation started.
