🔋 **Another Fantastic Find at RecoEnergy!** ⚡

One of the things I love about this business is getting hold of quality batteries that would normally cost customers considerably more money.

And these are a perfect example!

We've just secured **14 brand-new FIAMM 130Ah AGM batteries**, manufactured in Italy in June 2025. Never installed, never used, and still fitted with their original protective terminal caps.

As always, we've put them through our testing equipment, and the results are absolutely superb — **100% State of Health and 100% State of Charge!** 💪

These are the sort of quality batteries I love getting into stock. Ideal for motorhomes, narrowboats, off-grid setups, inverter systems and plenty of other applications.

And the best bit?

**We're selling them for just £80 each, complete with our 12-month warranty!**

That's what RecoEnergy is all about. Finding premium-quality batteries, using our experience to source the right stock, and making them available to customers at sensible prices.

With over **30 years in the battery industry**, and a previous eBay business achieving **over 11,000 sales with 100% positive feedback**, we've built our reputation on quality, value and customer service.

🚚 Collection from Royton, Oldham, with flexible delivery available seven days a week.

We've only got 14 of these, so if you're interested, drop us a message. Multiple purchases welcome!

It only takes one lithium-ion battery to start a fire🔥

The risk of lithium-ion batteries causing devastating fires in the waste industry was clear to see when we recently trialled a new waste shredder.

During the demonstration at our Eversley recycling centre, a lithium-ion battery exploded with incredible ferocity. Luckily, it was spotted instantly and isolated from the waste pile, but just look at how volatile it was.

⚠️Remember: never dispose of items with built-in rechargeable batteries, such as kids’ toys, vapes, scooters, devices and more, in skips or general waste. Dispose of them responsibly and help prevent fires breaking out.

⚠️ **THIS IS WHY RECOENERGY ONLY SELLS LEAD-ACID BATTERIES** ⚠️

This damaged lithium battery was **hidden inside one of our lead-acid battery bins**, with the top already blown off.

Look closely at what was inside: individual cells packed together, tape everywhere, basic wiring and build quality that can only be described as **abysmal**.

We accept that reputable, properly engineered lithium systems exist. However, the market is now flooded with cheap, mass-produced imports of widely varying quality—and from the outside, customers often have no way of knowing what is actually inside them.

The price of lithium batteries has dropped dramatically, but **cheaper does not automatically mean safer or better built**. When manufacturers compete mainly on price, corners can be cut on the cells, wiring, battery-management system, insulation, assembly and quality control.

This photograph shows the reality inside **this particular battery**.

# # # WHY WE STICK WITH LEAD-ACID

✅ Proven technology with a long-established safety record
✅ Manufactured to recognised specifications by established brands
✅ Straightforward to inspect, charge and professionally test
✅ No lithium thermal-runaway risk
✅ Supported by an established UK recycling infrastructure
✅ Almost every part can be recovered and recycled
✅ Reliable, affordable and understood throughout the industry

Lead-acid batteries must still be handled responsibly, but they are among the most successfully recycled consumer products in the world. Their lead, plastic casing and other materials can be recovered and reused to manufacture new batteries.

Lithium is different. When a poorly manufactured, damaged or incorrectly charged lithium battery fails, it can overheat, ignite and enter **thermal runaway**—a fire that is extremely difficult to control and can reignite after appearing to be extinguished.

That is exactly why fire services, vehicle converters, storage operators and insurance companies are paying increasingly close attention to lithium battery quality, installation and charging arrangements.

# # # THIS MUST NEVER HAPPEN

Lithium batteries must **never** be hidden inside lead-acid battery bins.

A damaged lithium battery mixed into a load of lead-acid batteries creates a serious fire risk during storage, handling and transport—and puts drivers, staff, vehicles and premises at risk.

🔋 Always declare lithium batteries
⚠️ Keep damaged units isolated
🔥 Never charge or reconnect a battery in this condition
♻️ Use the correct specialist recycling route

After more than **30 years in the battery industry**, this is precisely why RecoEnergy continues to stand behind professionally tested **lead-acid, EFB, AGM and GEL batteries**.

Proven technology. Proper testing. Genuine recycling. No fashionable sales pitch—just batteries we know, understand and trust.
