We're proud to announce the successful completion of another fantastic project for KDG M&E Group.

Located in the heart of Birmingham's business district, this office development involved the refurbishment of seven floors of Cat A office space, delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical installations to support a modern, flexible working environment.

Our scope of works included:

✔️ Full fire alarm system
✔️ Data and fibre infrastructure

🚨 We're Hiring: Trainee Electrical Estimator | Beeston, Nottingham

Are you in the final stages of your electrical apprenticeship or a newly qualified electrician looking for a new direction?

At KDG M&E Group, we're looking for a Trainee Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to move from a site-based role into an office environment while continuing to build on their practical electrical knowledge.

No previous estimating experience is required. We'll provide structured training and mentoring from experienced estimators, giving you the skills and confidence to develop a rewarding long-term career.

What you'll learn:
⚡ Reading electrical drawings and specifications
⚡ Producing take-offs and pricing schedules
⚡ Requesting and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations
⚡ Pricing labour and materials for electrical installation projects
⚡ Using estimating software and tender documentation
⚡ Supporting senior estimators on live tenders and site visits
⚡ Applying your on-site experience to identify practical considerations in pricing and design

We're looking for someone who:
✔️ Is in the later stages of an electrical apprenticeship or is newly qualified (JIB Gold Card or equivalent)
✔️ Has solid practical knowledge of electrical installation methods, materials and regulations
✔️ Has good numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail
✔️ Is confident using Microsoft Excel and IT systems
✔️ Is eager to learn, ask questions and develop professionally
✔️ Holds a full UK driving licence (preferred)
