Sorry we’ve been a bit quiet recently—we’ve been busy responding to a fantastic number of enquiries and working behind the scenes.

A big thank you to everyone who has contacted us. Kitchen and worktop wrapping has been especially popular, so we’ll be sharing plenty of inspiration, helpful information and answers to your questions over the next few days.

If your kitchen is still in good condition but could do with a fresh new look, professional vinyl wrapping could be the perfect alternative to replacing it.

Already thinking about a kitchen refresh? Send us a few photos and your postcode, and we’ll be happy to offer some clear, no-obligation advice.

Don’t believe everything you see in a 30-second Reel… 👀

I’ve fallen down a bit of a rabbit hole recently watching DIY kitchen wrapping videos.

“Wrapped my whole kitchen for under £50.”

“It lasted for years.”

“Heatproof up to 75°C.”

One creator was even replacing the vinyl on her worktop for the fourth time this year because she’d apparently changed her mind about the colour again.

And watching them made me realise something.

This is what professional kitchen wrapping is being compared against.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with using DIY sticky-back vinyl if you want a cheap weekend project. For the right application, it can be a great way of changing the look of something without spending much money.

But it isn’t the same thing as having a kitchen professionally wrapped using architectural-grade material.

The materials I install are designed for long-term architectural applications, and just as importantly, the preparation and installation underneath them matters.

So when you see somebody on Instagram wrap an entire kitchen for £50 and wonder why a professional quote costs considerably more, you’re not necessarily comparing like-for-like.

One is a DIY decorating product and a DIY installation.

The other is intended to be a professional refurbishment.

Both have their place — just don’t believe everything a 30-second Reel tells you. 😂

I’ll probably do a proper side-by-side test at some point because I’m genuinely curious to see how the materials compare. 👀

Not every transformation needs to involve an entire room.

A tired worktop, door, counter or piece of fitted furniture can sometimes be the one surface letting the rest of the space down.

Architectural vinyl can provide a clean, durable update while retaining what is already there.

We’re happy to advise on both individual surfaces and larger projects.

Privacy doesn’t have to mean covering the window or losing natural light.

Architectural glass film can provide a clean, practical solution for overlooked windows and glazed areas. Depending on the film selected, it can also help reduce glare, heat and UV exposure.

Available for residential and commercial installations across Nottingham and the East Midlands.

Architectural vinyl isn’t limited to kitchens.

It can be used to refresh a wide range of sound, suitable surfaces, including worktops, wardrobes, doors, desks, furniture and commercial fittings.

With a broad choice of colours, textures and finishes available, an existing surface can often be given an entirely different appearance.

Not sure whether your surface is suitable? Send us a photograph and we’ll take a look.

A professional finish is about more than the material.

Careful preparation, accurate application and clean detailing all contribute to a result that looks considered and is made to last.

It’s often the smallest details that make the biggest difference.

“Can you wrap it?”

Technically, sometimes yes.

Should you wrap it? That’s a different question. 😂

Architectural vinyl is incredibly versatile, but the condition of the surface underneath matters.

Before recommending wrapping something, I’m looking at things like:

✅ Is the surface smooth and stable?
✅ Is anything peeling or delaminating?
✅ Has moisture damaged it?
✅ Are the edges suitable for wrapping?
✅ Will the existing coating give the vinyl a reliable surface to bond to?

Wrapping can completely transform kitchens, worktops, furniture and interior surfaces — but it isn’t magic that fixes whatever is underneath it.

Occasionally the best advice I can give someone is not to wrap something.

I’d much rather say that upfront than take somebody’s money for something I don’t believe will last.

Privacy at a window doesn’t necessarily mean shutting the curtains all day.

This is something I get asked about quite a lot — particularly with downstairs windows, bathrooms, doors and properties that are overlooked.

There are different types of privacy film depending on what you’re actually trying to achieve.

For example:

❄️ Frosted film — excellent for permanent privacy while still allowing plenty of light through.

🪞 Reflective film — can provide daytime privacy while still allowing you to see out, although it relies on the light being brighter outside than inside.

👀 Decorative films — useful when you want to obscure the view without completely frosting the glass.

The important bit is choosing the film for the problem rather than simply choosing whichever one looks nicest on a sample.

Because “I need privacy” can actually mean several very different things.
