The finish is only ever as good as the preparation underneath. Plenty of filling, sanding and prep work to get these walls ready for a quality finish.

Walls were stripped, rubbed and filled. Then received a coat of Zinsser guardz to seal the old paste. Walls were then given an initial coat of colour to show up more imperfections and filled again. Then finished with an additional two coats, along with the ceiling and woodwork to freshen up the whole room.

What a difference 👌🏽

This exterior was suffering from extensive peeling. But after thorough preparation, a stabilising primer and two coats of Johnstones smooth masonry it looks spot on!

Ceiling finished in Tikkurila AR-2 brilliant white.
Walls finished in Crowns durable Matt, Kensington white. Feature wall in Crowns Broadleaf.
Cupboards finished in water based eggshell also in Crowns Kensington white.
Woodwork completed in Johnstone’s aqua guard brilliant white.

Another busy week here at Thorpe Decorating!

Kitchen/diner refresh along with this stunning media wall.

The plastered wall had a contract emulsion and finished in farrow and balls “Matchstick” along with the rest of the walls.

Skirtings were filled and tidied up and finished in a white eggshell.

Finished in Mellow Sage from Crown to brighten up the enclosed space.
Ceiling was finished in Tikkurila’s AR-2 brilliant white.
Woodwork all coated up in Dulux brilliant white gloss.

A bedroom completed for a Forest fan!

Ceiling and walls all finished in AR-2 Brillant White.

Feature wall changed from a dark blue to a Valspar Red and the Forest badge mural added for the final touch!
