💧 External Waste Pipe Leak Repair 🔧

Customer had a leaking waste pipe on the outside wall by the kitchen, with wastewater running across the ground.

🔍 The cause:
The original fitting was installed at the wrong angle. A bend had been forced into place, putting constant stress on the pipework until the joint eventually failed.

As both ends of the pipe were fixed in position, a full replacement wasn’t practical, so a more effective repair solution was needed.

🔧 Repair carried out:
✔️ Replaced damaged pipework and fittings
✔️ Swapped the original fitting for two 45° bends

💦 DIY 鑽地板出事｜鑽穿 radiator 水喉緊急維修 🔧

今次真係「客人比我仲勤力」😅夜晚 8 點，客人自己 DIY 鑽地板，點知一鑽落去——💥 直接鑽穿地板下面嘅 radiator 銅喉！

客人即時急 call 求助。我到場時，客人已經用膠布暫時封住漏水位，再用手死死撳實條喉，場面都幾驚險。

🔍 現場第一步，我先判斷到底鑽穿咗邊條喉，確認係 radiator 暖氣水喉後，即時進行止水處理。

由於客人屋企係舊式「天花水缸」系統，唔單止要閂屋內水掣，仲要爬上閣樓，將水缸出水口封住，先可以真正止水。

其實我之後幾日工作已經排滿，但明白客人一定想盡快恢復正常用水，所以都盡量即晚處理完成。

客人今次都算好彩——👉 我車上仲啱啱好剩返最後一套配件。如果唔係，當晚未必能夠完成維修😅

💦 DIY Gone Wrong | Drilled Through Radiator Pipe 🔧

Customer was DIY drilling into the floor at 8pm and accidentally drilled straight into a radiator pipe hidden beneath the floorboards 💥

By the time I arrived, they had taped the leak and were holding the pipe by hand trying to stop the water 😅

🔍 First step was identifying which pipe had been hit, then isolating the system properly. As the property had an older loft tank system, I also had to get into the loft to stop the tank feed completely.

Luckily I still had the last matching fittings in the van, so I managed to complete the repair the same night 👍

✅ Drained radiator system
✅ Replaced damaged copper pipe
✅ Tested leak-free
✅ Heating & water restored

🛁 浴缸龍頭升級｜水量不足＋鬆動問題一次解決🔧

客人反映浴缸龍頭水量唔夠＋有鬆動情況，擔心長遠會出現滲漏問題。

到場檢查後發現，原本係單頭龍頭＋3分水喉配置，出水量受限，而且安裝穩定性不足。

👉 建議方案：
由單頭升級雙頭混合恆溫龍頭，同時將水喉由3分升級至4分，提升流量同穩定性。

🛁 Bath tap upgrade | Fixed low flow & looseness in one go

Customer had issues with low water flow and a loose bath tap, worried it could lead to leaks over time.

After inspection, found the setup was a single tap with 3/8” pipe, limiting flow and not very stable.

👉 Solution:
Upgraded to a twin thermostatic mixer tap, and increased pipe size from 3/8” to 1/2” for better flow and stability.

💦天花漏水＋冇熱水｜復活節緊急搶修

復活節期間，客人樓下天花突然出現一大片水漬，即時好緊張。佢搵過 local plumber上門睇，但對方話要等假期後先處理。

最麻煩係——
👉 boiler 因漏水停咗
👉 冇熱水，連沖涼都唔得

香港人點可以唔沖涼 😅
所以客人最終搵到我求助，我亦即時特事特辦，趕去做緊急維修。

🔍 現場檢查：
我先樓下檢查，透過天花射燈位伸入視像探頭定位漏水位，避免亂𠝹天花造成不必要破壞。

👉 最終發現：
radiator 水喉駁位突然鬆脫引致漏水
（都係嗰句——好多時都係上一手手工問題）

🔧 處理方式：
✔️ 精準定位漏水源頭
✔️ 打開地板修復喉管駁位
✔️ 測試確保冇再滲漏
✔️ 恢復熱水正常運作

💦 Ceiling Leak & No Hot Water | Emergency Easter Repair

Over Easter, the customer suddenly noticed a large water stain on the downstairs ceiling — understandably stressful. They had a local plumber round, but were told it would have to wait until after the holidays.

The worst part —
👉 the boiler shut down due to the leak
👉 no hot water, couldn’t even have a shower

Not ideal at all 😅

So they reached out to me, and knowing it was urgent, I made a special arrangement to attend straight away.

🔍 On inspection:
I first checked downstairs, then used the ceiling spotlight opening to insert a camera probe to locate the leak precisely, avoiding unnecessary damage from cutting into the ceiling.

👉 Found the issue:
A loose radiator pipe joint causing the leak
(as usual — poor previous workmanship at the root)

🔧 What I did:
✔️ Located leak precisely
✔️ Opened floorboards to repair pipe connection
✔️ Tested to ensure no further leaks
✔️ Restored hot water
✔️ Repaired flooring

✅ Leak stopped, no further damage
✅ Hot water back — customer finally back to normal 👍

💧 工作日常📍塞渠唔一定靠通｜結構問題要打倒重來🔧

客人最初求助時話要通渠，鋅盤去水慢，最後仲出現倒灌。
自己試過用 drain spring 通，但都係無補於事。

到場一睇，其實已經知道——
👉 唔係普通塞渠，而係結構性問題。

🔍 現場發現：
• 去水喉長度超過 5 米
• 屋外去水位竟然呈直角90度
• ⁠科水不足
👉 污水根本瀡唔走，容易積聚造成堵塞

💧 Daily Work | Blocked Sink? Unblocking Isn’t Always the Fix 🔧

Customer called thinking they needed a drain unblock — slow draining sink even caused backflow. Tried a drain spring? No luck.

On inspection, it was clear:
👉 Not a simple blockage — it’s a structural issue.

🔍 Findings:
• Waste pipe over 5 metres long
• External outlet at a 90° angle
• Insufficient flow
👉 Water couldn’t drain, leading to buildup and blockage

🔧 3-step fix from the source:

① Upgrade the trap
👉 Bottle trap → P-trap for smoother drainage

② Add an air admittance valve (AAV)
👉 Prevents long pipe from sucking water seal away, stops odours

③ Adjust the pipe angle
👉 Outlet from 90° → 45° to boost flow

✅ Drain now flows smoothly, problem solved in one go.

👉 Some blockages aren’t solved by unblocking — you need to fix the source.

‼️緊急維修｜💦天花漏水至停電｜上手求其做嘅惡果👎🏻

今次個案，客人樓上浴室企缸漏水，樓下天花已經出現水漬，情況一路惡化，濕到連天花吊燈頂蓋都裝滿水斷埋電，真係好牙煙。涼又沖唔到，燈又開唔到，仲擔心會唔會有漏電風險。

客人搵到我時，我知道情況緊急，所以作出特別安排盡快上門檢查同維修。

到場後，我先憑經驗同現場觀察，大概已經判斷到漏水位置同原因。為咗避免無謂破壞，我先喺天花開一個小孔，再用探頭鏡頭檢查，客人亦可以即時透過畫面睇到漏水位置。

確認位置之後，我只喺所需最少範圍𠝹開天花進行維修。檢查後發現，上手維修人員其實早已知道隔氣損壞，但只係打膠草草了事，問題一直冇真正解決。

今次我為客人重新更換隔氣，再進行試水觀察，確認完全冇再漏水之後，再幫客人修復天花。

客人最後一句：
👉 「好彩搵到你幫到手。」

聽到呢句，老土啲講句其實自己做嘅工作都好有意義。

‼️ Emergency Repair | Ceiling Leak Causing Power Cut 💦 | Result of a rushed previous fix 👎🏻

A leak from the upstairs shower had already soaked the downstairs ceiling. It got so bad that water filled the ceiling light fitting and cut the power — leaving the customer with no shower, no lights, and worries about electrical safety.

Knowing it was urgent, I arranged to attend as soon as possible.

After inspecting the area, I had a good idea where the leak was coming from. To avoid unnecessary damage, I first made a small inspection hole and used a camera probe so the leak location could be clearly seen on screen.

Once confirmed, I opened only the minimum ceiling area needed. It turned out the previous repairer already knew the shower trap seal was damaged, but simply covered it with silicone as a quick fix — so the problem was never properly solved.

I replaced the trap seal properly, tested the water flow, confirmed the leak had stopped completely, and then repaired the ceiling.

The customer’s last words were:
👉 “So lucky I found you to help.”

Hearing that honestly makes the job feel worthwhile.
