Our latest cabin office project completed today. A lovely new outdoor office with full internet capabilities to complement the traditional timber construction. Fully insulated with power and lighting. The anthracite grey colour theme has been used on the upvc windows and doors as well as all the switches, data connections and sockets. Just awaiting the arrival of the aircon and heating unit to be installed soon. It will hopefully provide a great work zone for the homeowners and provide that all important space in the house.

The additional Venetian fencing style cladding to the retaining walls in the garden adds to the contemporary feel of the whole area.

Our latest project completed this week. An extended paved area ready for the garden bar. This is a very special garden and this building is going to be a really wonderful feature (practical too)! Cheers to Julie and Phil for asking us to do it!

Last weeks project just photographed now the homeowner has finished planting up the raised beds. Two old decking areas removed, new larger decking area to the end of the garden and a lovely seating area next to the house. The homeowner (Matt) is a big fan of the tropical garden style and so has planted a large trachycarpus, cordyline, fatsia, musa basjoo and catalpa. These have been supplemented with cannas, kniphofia, persicaria, begonia and other lovely perennials. A lovely space to potter and entertain friends and family whilst also leaving room for his two son’s football goal!

Only ten days since finishing this lovely garden and the plants are loving their new home. The daily watering to settle in the new lawn is benefitting all the plants. Lovely specimen magnolia grandiflora planted tonight in the lower, curved bed.

All finished! 36m2 of porcelain paving, two flanking borders built into the edge of the patio, lower feature border with feature planting. A low maintenance planting scheme of topiary and grasses with selective flowers to add some colour. A really lovely space for this young family.

Shipley project update - porcelain paving (Raj - mixed size) almost complete and running across the entire length of the house. A lovely, contemporary choice that will look stunning once pointed. Edging pavers to go in tomorrow and two flanking planting borders to install.

Sorry - this really is the last one! Eryngium ‘big blue’ (sea Holly) is just starting to colour up nicely with its electric blue bracts.

One more - for the plant geeks! Trifolium ‘dragons blood’ - a rare clover with red veining through the leaves.

A few highlights from my own garden this morning. Some of my favourites from the shady border full of hostas and ferns and the ‘hot’ border just starting to come into colour with kniphofia and the wonderful Ensete ventricosum banana.
