Faradite keypads and sensors with Cresnet connectivity are now available to order.

For integrators working with Crestron Custom or Crestron Home, the new range brings Faradite’s refined design and practical sensing into the Crestron environment, helping projects feel more considered, responsive and discreet.

The range includes the TAP-5 ORE keypad and Motion Sensor 360 products, including the Plaster In option for projects where a minimal finish matters.

At our Light + Building round-up event, HMS presented the Intesis 700 Series Air gateways - a platform first released in May 2023 and already recognised with multiple industry awards.

For KNX integrators who have not come across the range before, the 700 Series Air is designed to integrate major HVAC brands into KNX, alongside BACnet, Modbus, home automation and now native MQTT 3.1.1 on selected models.

From a project delivery point of view, one of the most useful points was the licensing structure. Integrators can size gateways around the job, with options for up to 4, 16 or 64 indoor units, plus an additional option on MHI and Panasonic up to 128 indoor units. That gives more flexibility when you are matching gateway choice to system size rather than over-specifying from the outset.

The Intesis MAPS workflow is designed to reduce commissioning time. with preconfigured templates, and a scan feature to help speed up setup and fault-finding.

The 700 Series Air has been updated with a built-in energy estimation algorithm, which can use operating data and meter inputs to help identify consumption patterns and anomalies, giving integrators another route into energy-focused conversations.

The other major update is MQTT: Instead of routing via Modbus or BACnet into a third-party gateway, 700 Series Air can now communicate natively over MQTT 3.1.1.

Overall takeaway: HVAC gateways are moving beyond protocol conversion alone, towards faster deployment, better diagnostics, and cleaner integration into wider building and cloud ecosystems.
