🏫 While the kids are still busy with the pen and the rule... we're out here upgrading the grounds of the school! 💪

We’re launching at two sites this week for a vital head start, before rolling out across our remaining Norfolk & Suffolk school projects over half-term!

Here’s what we're tackling over the next fortnight:

• Trenching for new water supply. 💧
• Installing secure handrails and posts. 🛠️
• Pouring concrete and building prefab storage units. 🏗️
• Improving general school grounds. 🚧

They get a break from the desks and the books… We get stuck in to upgrade how it looks! 👀

📍 Project Progress Update – Great Yarmouth & Gorleston 📍

Work continues on transforming unused Great Yarmouth Borough Council offices into residential housing, working with Smith of Honingham for Great Yarmouth Borough Council.

🧱 King Street, Great Yarmouth

The external perimeter wall foundations and brickwork have progressed, alongside external drainage works to accommodate surface water and foul water services.

Inside the building, floor excavation is currently taking place to allow the necessary structural works to proceed.

🏗️ Magdalen Way, Gorleston

Work is now progressing at the Magdalen Way offices, with drainage reconfiguration underway to accommodate the new services needed for the conversion, including two shower rooms.

Both sites are moving forward as these unused office buildings are given a new lease of life and converted into homes for the local community. 📍

We look forward to sharing more progress as the work continues! 👷🏼‍♂️

New signing at Colney... and this one brings a lot of energy! 🔋

We’ve officially ⚽️ kicked off work at the Norwich City FC Academy and Training Facility in Colney!

Our team is on-site installing the essential electrical kiosks to support brand-new EV chargers for the players, staff, and visitors. 🔌🔌

It’s great to see the club driving forward with their sustainability goals, and we're buzzing to be the team trusted to get the job done right. 🙌

Another project is underway as part of our wider programme with Smith of Honingham and Great Yarmouth Borough Council.

Alongside our project at King Street in Great Yarmouth, we’ve now started at Magdalen Way in Gorleston, where the former council offices are being transformed to provide much needed affordable housing.

It’s great to see both projects progressing in parallel and playing a part in the wider regeneration of the area.

More updates to follow as the work progresses.

Digging deep for a greener future at Easton College! 🚜💚

Our team has had a busy week on campus, getting stuck into some essential groundworks to help power the college's greenhouse into the future!

Here’s a quick look at what we’ve been up to:
• ✨ Digging the trenches for a brand-new electrical supply.
• ✨ Getting the electric ducting safely installed.
• ✨ Prepping the base for an exciting new EV charge point! 🔌

It might be muddy, dirty work, but we love knowing that we are laying the literal groundwork for something much greener. Brilliant effort from the team this week! 💪🌱

🚧 NEW PROJECT | BLAKENEY, NORFOLK 🚧

We’re off to a great start on a new project in Blakeney, Norfolk, for our new client E.N Suiters!

The project includes 8 plots, private & adoptable drainage, permeable asphalt roads and block-paved driveways, plus all the associated external works.

With 12+ months of work ahead, there’s plenty to get stuck into! 👷‍♂️🚜

We’re really looking forward to seeing this site take shape and, hopefully, building the foundations of a great new working relationship with E.N Suiters.

We’re pleased to have been involved in a wider programme of improvement works at Flegg High School, helping to enhance the school’s facilities, accessibility and infrastructure.

Working alongside our returning client, PJ Plumbing and the Ormiston Acadamy, our team has been carrying out a number of important works across the site, including:

🔧 Mechanical & Electrical upgrades throughout the school, helping to improve the efficiency, reliability and overall performance of the building services.

🚶 A new access ramp adjacent to the plant room, providing safer and more convenient access for maintenance personnel and authorised users.

🚧 Widening of the emergency access route, creating improved access for emergency services and larger modern vehicles, while also helping to improve traffic flow around the school site.

With several elements of the project taking place alongside each other, careful planning and coordination have been key to keeping disruption to the school to a minimum while maintaining progress on site.

A big thank you to PJ Plumbing for continuing to work with us on another project. We look forward to seeing the full benefits of these improvements for the school community.

🚧 From a blank slate to 7 new homes — and we’re well on the way.

Since February, GPS have been on site in Ilketshall working with Smith of Honingham on this 7-plot affordable housing development, with completion scheduled for November 2026.

Our part? Pretty much everything that happens around and underneath the homes — groundworks, drainage and utilities, fencing, driveways, the shared access road, ASHP bases, shed bases, topsoiling, block paving and more.

It’s one of those projects where you really see the progress week by week. What started as a site to prepare is now taking shape as a new community, with plenty more to come before the final touches are in.

Groundworks are only the beginning. 👊

A big shout-out to the GPS lads on site for their professionalism, hard work and commitment throughout the project. It’s their effort, attention to detail and teamwork that keeps a project like this moving in the right direction, day after day.
