⭐️ Another job completed, fitting 17 internal oak doors to give this home a fresh, consistent look throughout. 👌

The installation included Howdens Holdenby oak doors, alongside two sets of glazed double doors to allow more natural light to flow between rooms.

One door needed a little extra attention, too! I had to cut it down to suit the existing understairs door lining and refit the bottom rail to ensure a proper fit and a neat finish. It’s all about getting those details right rather than taking shortcuts! 💪

Out with the old handrail, base rail and spindles, and in with a fresh, contemporary oak finish.

We’ve installed oak newel post wrap kits with matching oak flat caps, alongside a solid oak handrail and base rail, creating the perfect foundation for the next stage of this staircase renovation.

The stair stringers will be painted white, and the hallway will be freshly painted throughout to complement the new oak staircase and create a clean, modern finish.

The finishing touch? Glass panels mounted on chrome brackets, which are currently on their way and will complete this stylish transformation.

⭐️ A complete transformation for this home office, with a beautiful oak engineered timber floor and new Ovolo skirting bringing the room together.

The existing skirting boards were carefully removed before the new flooring was installed, followed by the fitting of new Ovolo profile skirting to complement the room. The skirting was fully caulked ready for painting, with the bottom of the door trimmed to accommodate the new floor and ensure a clean, seamless finish.

A simple but effective upgrade, bringing a warmer, more refined feel to the office while keeping the detailing and finish quality consistent throughout.

⭐️ Listed Building Sash Window Repairs 🪟

A recent repair to two traditional sash windows on a listed property.

The lower sections of both windows had suffered from timber rot and had previously been repaired with filler. With the property being listed, the repair needed to retain the original character and be carried out like-for-like.

The decayed timber and previous filler repairs were carefully cut out, with new timber accurately spliced into the existing frames.

Both windows have now been left sound, structurally repaired and ready for the customer to prime and paint before winter sets in.

Repairing and retaining original timber wherever possible, rather than replacing what can be properly restored.

✨ A complete hallway transformation — from downstairs to upstairs.

This one was all about creating a more refined, cohesive feel throughout the home.

We installed bespoke wall panelling throughout the downstairs hallway, continuing up the staircase and across the full upstairs landing, finished with a traditional dado rail to tie everything together.

Using primed decorative mouldings, everything is supplied ready for the customer’s chosen paint finish, giving the finished result that clean, architectural look you simply don’t get from off-the-shelf panelling.

The customer also wanted the existing under-stairs storage doors and drawers brought into the design, so we added matching mouldings to the faces, integrating the storage seamlessly into the new panelling rather than leaving it looking like a separate feature.

A lot of measuring, setting out and attention to detail goes into getting panelling like this right — particularly when carrying the design through hallways, stairs and landings.
