A late one, but another site signed off today! 🙌🌿

This one is a first for us as a company, and we’re absolutely loving the finished result.

This project became a bit of a live site, as the customer’s partner has limited mobility due to multiple sclerosis. It was really important to us that throughout the work she could maintain safe access to the property, while the finished garden still allowed her to enjoy something she loves — gardening. 🌱

We completed:

🌿 GrassPark permeable driveway — essentially a lawn you can park on! The reinforced grid allows grass to grow through while providing a strong, stable surface suitable for cars and vans. A brilliant way of creating additional parking without losing the look and feel of a front garden.

♿ Level-threshold pathways — installed to provide easier, more comfortable access around the property.

🌺 Raised sleeper beds — bringing the garden up to a more accessible working height so our green-fingered customer can continue enjoying her gardening.

🌱 New lawn installed to complete the transformation.

🌳 Hawthorn hedging planted to infill the old gateway and help bring the garden back together.

This job wasn’t simply about creating extra parking — it was about finding a solution that worked around the customers’ needs without taking away the garden they enjoy.

A completely different type of project for M.S Landscaping & Driveways, but definitely one we’re proud to have completed.

✨ LARGE PORCELAIN PATIO COMPLETED IN ACTON BRIDGE ✨

Another fantastic transformation completed by the team in Acton Bridge.

🔹 600x900 Dijon porcelain paving
🔹 100x200 Black Kadapha edging – a brilliant contrast that really complements the Dijon porcelain
🔹 Grouted throughout using Flowpoint for a strong, clean and professional finish
🔹 Bespoke steps, carefully built to work with the existing render and original step heights

The steps required plenty of thought and attention to detail to accommodate what was already there, with detailed face work and a clean finish that really stands out.

A large area with plenty of detail, finished to the standard we pride ourselves on. 👌

Another retaining garden wall completed in Comberbach 👌

This one wasn’t just about making it look good — it was important that it was built correctly with the right foundations and drainage in place.

🧱 Fully excavated with concrete footings installed
🧱 Built using Scotch Common face bricks
🔵 Finished with a blue engineering brick header course
🧱 Concrete block construction for strength
💧 Weep holes installed to allow water to escape
💧 Perforated drainage pipe installed behind the wall and topped with gravel to help prevent water pressure building up
🌱 Area fully backfilled with topsoil, ready for the customer to seed or turf

Extra care was also needed on this job, working around existing pipework and making sure the existing septic tank soakaway remained completely undisturbed.

A retaining wall needs to do much more than just look good — proper footings, strength and drainage are key to making sure it lasts.

🚧 Keeping Things Moving! 🚧

Over the past few weeks, alongside our larger projects, we’ve also been using weekends to complete a number of smaller jobs.

These weekend jobs have not impacted our current diary. They’re simply helping us reduce our waiting times and get to more customers as quickly as possible.

We know we’re currently slightly behind with our dates, and we’d like to thank every customer for their patience. We’re working hard to reduce the wait, and we will get round to everyone. We’d rather take a little longer and deliver the quality we’re known for than rush a job and cut corners. 💪

Over the last few weeks we’ve completed:

Another full garden transformation completed this week over in Lostock Gralam! 🌿

This one took a little longer to finish as we were waiting on the porcelain tiles, but it was definitely worth the wait.

We started by knocking down and removing all of the old outbuildings before carrying out a full excavation and ground preparation, completed by T Finlay Groundworks & Property Maintenance creating a blank canvas for a complete redesign.
