These large Sitka Spruce trees had grown too big for the clients back garden. After a discussion with the client, we advised the best thing would be to remove them. After we removed these trees, we checked to see how old they were and was surprised to find that they were only 28 years old - if they hadn't have been removed, they could have become a big problem in the future as they were growing at an extremely fast rate.

The weather was not on our side, but we still managed to perform the removal in a safe manner.

Emergency call out to back in March, when we had high winds. This Norway Maple had a large cavity in the middle and ended up blowing over in the strong gusts, blocking the cart path. We came out and made the tree safe, so that the club could keep using the cart path so no members of the public got injured. We then came back a week later, to clear up the remainder of the tree and cut all the timber into 10 inch pieces so the Green Keepers could make use of it
