Random scotch strip and re slate on a listed building

Whilst giving this roof a yearly check up it came to our attention that this area was badly nail sick(nails had rusted away) this meant slates were constantly slipping out and had even smashed the glass extension below. So after discussing with the client we put a plan together and decided the best action was to strip it and then re slate using the same slates

Once stripping began we realised that the majority of the timber needed replaced too as it was either rotten or had bad wood worm. New lead valleys and new zinc ridge were also added for future piece of mind making sure this area won’t be needing touched for years to come.

Overall a great job trying to match in with the buildings 16th century aesthetics
